Sometimes ago, I read a publication about a man who won a lottery worth a huge sum of money but still ended up broke and in that publication, a lot of people shared their ideas and experiences about people ending up as beggars after winning lotteries. It doesn't sound normal to me but if we look at it very well, many people who win lotteries or bets always spend a larger part of the money trying to win more money and in the end, they end up broke.
I have an uncle who is a bet addict, there was a particular time he won close to a million naira and still ended broke within a month. He always said, we use money to make more money which is right but many of them aren't doing it the right way.
If I win the lottery right now, the first thing I will do is secure my future. A lottery should be worth up to a million dollars if I am not mistaken (not sure but it's always a huge sum).
A million dollars is quite a lot and enough to set up my life for good if I spend it wisely.
My first shot will be going into real estate even though I don't have lots of knowledge about it. I can do my research and hire experts to help me make the right decision in the world of real estate. I am sure a lot of people know how lucrative it is to own landed property especially in some places in Nigeria. About forty per cent of the money will definitely go into real estate, I can rent out properties and make lots of money from it.
I have shared my ambition of owning a five-star event centre in different parts of the world and winning the lottery will allow me to pursue the dream. It would help me create employment opportunities for people while I also rack in more money because the place will be irresistible for people. I will make the place the best and that would make the demand for the place to increase.
I will own eateries and also start a catering school for people who are eager to learn. It would be almost free as it would be a means of empowering the females in the society, I can employ those who choose to work with me after graduation or just help them to startup the best way I can.
Another thing on my list will be an orphanage home, it would be a sort of foundation to help kids and I believe I can get people to support such a project as well because it will help build a beautiful future for many kids across the country.
I don't know if the Lottery win will be enough for all these things but I can always do them one after the other when my first investment begins to yield. You might be wondering why I didn't mention spoiling myself or my family immediately after I got the money. That would happen first and we will all live the best life we have ever craved, I can see the picture of everything playing right in front of my eye right now and whether I win a lottery or not because I never played one, I hope I can achieve all of these one day.
At some point in my life, I want to look back and be happy that I fulfilled all these dreams. It looks huge and impossible but I believe nothing is impossible. I will keep doing my best in life and hope that the almighty God crown my efforts someday.
