My Song Choice For Support of "Epilepsy Awareness // Purple Day" πŸ’œ

Today is "Epilepsy Awareness / Purple Day" πŸ’œ on the "National Holiday" Calendar for March. A truly disabling disease that affects many people in different degrees of severity.

Many years ago I worked with a guy who did have several Epileptic fits a day. We would help him lay on the floor of the factory, with an item of clothing under his head for comfort. Also laid on his side, in the fetal position, to help prevent any tongue swallowing.

In his particular case the fits seldom lasted longer than a few minutes. He was never allowed to operate any machinery for obvious reasons, and only employed to sweep the floor and empty all the rubbish bins. However, he loved his job and very much appreciated being employed...

My short story proves that just being aware of how to help others with Epilepsy can make a huge improvement to their every day lives.

Now for some celebration Music...

My Song choice for this event simply has to be "Purple Rain" by Prince. Sadly, yet another fantastic singer who has passed on to another World. I really loved his Music, and this Song is my favorite of his many epic tracks.

We all miss you Prince πŸ’œ RIP πŸ™
