Moon footprints

"Don't cry anymore, Princess Halia!", Amina, her lady-in-waiting, nanny, and confidante, told her. "Crying doesn't solve anything, it brings no solution," Amina insisted, consoling the princess of her misfortune. "This is a divine punishment, I know I will die with this misfortune!" She expressed disconsolately, tears emerging unstoppably from her big, beautiful blue eyes. To which Amina told her "You must trust and unburden yourself to your husband, Prince Addo, he adores you with all his being, he will understand the situation and together you will seek a solution".

At those words, Halia, who was on her back leaning on the royal armchair, turned quickly and stared at her nanny, her beautiful blue eyes seemed to pop out of their sockets, and her crying and sobbing, translated panic and terror, to which she said "No, no, no Addo, he must never find out, give me your promise" "Not a word to him".

Amina, surprised, seeing his desperation, along with his misaligned emotions, was considerably disturbed and immediately replied "It's ok trust me, not a word" "I will prepare for you quickly, an herbal tea, it will help you calm your restlessness, anxiety, and uneasiness, you will be able to fall asleep" "I will use valerian, passionflower and a touch of lavender, it will do you a lot of good".

Without wasting time, she called with authority to the maid, who was organizing the linen in an adjoining space "Rumi, Rumi, come, the princess needs you, you must attend to her" Rumi replied, "As you command, Lady Amina".

Leaving the royal chamber, as she descended the stone stairs of the imposing castle, to head for the kitchen, Amina abstracted in her thoughts reflected that she had made a promise not to divulge the secret, to Prince Addo. But she had the option that his majesty King Heral, most likely the ruler of Gasopia, would seek the way out.

Gasopia was a kingdom far, far away from medieval times. An enchanted and magical world, where harmony, peace, and love germinated assiduously. With its legends, its inhabitants, and its chimerical world. On the central level, near the small square, was the imposing castle, beautiful and colossal, built on rocky watchtowers, surrounded by immense flowers that adorned it with colors and the potpourri of aromas. The kingdom was protected and sheltered by a large wooded area, surrounded by lush trees of great height, veiled by a thick fog. One of the legends said that the kingdom was guarded by the Moon Fairies, faithful guardians of Gasopia.

It was ruled by His Majesty King Heral, accompanied by his only daughter, Princess Halia, and her husband, Prince Addo. And it is that the nice and kind Halia was orphaned at birth. Her mother, Queen Elis, had complications in childbirth and died in childbirth. Despite this, she grew up happy, with lots of love and kindness, everyone took care of her, especially her nanny Amina.

Time passed and Halia grew up, enjoying nature in all its splendor, so she made frequent excursions to the forest. She made them on her horse Abril. On one of these outings, she met a very handsome young man, Prince Addo, from a nearby kingdom, who also liked to ride horses. They met, fell madly in love, and married five years ago.

Amina, having no peace of mind, wandered restlessly around the palace, looking for an opportunity to speak to His Majesty the King. She managed to catch sight of him, asked his permission, and told him of Halia's suffering and the urgency of finding a solution.

Urgently and very concerned about his daughter, His Majesty sent for all the wise men, soothsayers, and sorcerers of his kingdom and the neighboring kingdoms. "Bring them all, whoever removes the evil and suffering from my daughter, Princess Halia, I will give him what he asks for!" They all tried, but none succeeded.

Halia with each advancing day had more sadness and desolation, her suffering and sorrow, consumed her and drowned her in melancholy. That night, consumed by despondency, it was impossible to fall asleep, she got up, and walked again and again. She watched her beloved husband sleep peacefully, innocent of her suffering. It was a beautiful night with a full moon; she gazed raptly at it through her window and remembered the legend of the moon fairies and said. "I won't give up, I'll try!" Stealthily and cautiously, she dressed and escaped from the palace through a passageway she used in her childish pranks.

With determination and without any fear, she took firm steps towards the enchanted forest, a place where no one went, out of respect for the moon fairies. The full moon was splendid, shedding its light, diffusing it in all its amplitude, with its silvery rays. Halia, as she advanced, experienced sweet and enchanting sensations, which reassured her.

She reached the place and saw no fairies anywhere, but had the sensation of being watched by multiple eyes. Then she began by manifesting in words what her heart felt "Here I am a beautiful and matchless silver moon, the enchantment of the night, heals my suffering!" "Only you can do it through a spell. Do it, refulgent Goddess, excitedly I ask you!".

After her nightly confession, she returned to the palace without noticing that as she withdrew from that magical place, elegant and attractive violet roses were emerging among the rocks, giving splendorous beauty to the place.

She arrived with reservations to her room, where her husband slept. That night, without realizing it, for the first time in a long time she slept pleasantly, until the next day when she was awakened by the calls of her nanny.

As the days went by, she recovered her joy and enjoyed nature with pleasure, little by little the sadness and desolation dissipated. One day Lady Amina, to spoil her, brought her favorite breakfast and she immediately refused it "Amina take that food away, I don't want it around, it makes me nauseous!" Amina, with a mischievous laugh, said "Yes I take it back, I'm going to look for..." A few minutes passed and the nanny arrived, with the royal midwife, who with Princess Halia's permission felt her belly in different directions. And said with satisfaction "I have no doubt, the Princess is on tape and will have a girl".

Halia felt a tumult of emotions, it was like a powerful current that electrified her whole body. The moon fairies had heard her, there was no more suffering, everything was happiness. "What a joy, she would be a mother" Thus the months passed, everything was happy, and the long-awaited day arrived. On a full moon night, in its maximum splendor, was born without problems, in Gasopia, the princess Moon footprints.
