Valerie, known for her driving skills, decided to visit her sister Adriana who was in another city. She needed to get there because it was Adriana's birthday. She wanted to surprise Adriana and drove as fast as she could. She wasn't a careless driver nor a drunk driver, she just loved the speed, and she promised herself to get to Adriana's house on time.

Valerie was in the car driving to reach her destination and she looked at her GPS to see how many miles remaining to get there. She saw that many miles are left still to reach her sister.

Valerie wanted to arrive in time for breakfast and then prepare for the birthday party at night. Many hours passed and she got tired of driving. She thought this trip will never end. Negative thoughts started to come to her since she was driving in the dead of night and she didn't want to stay in creepy dirty motels on the way.

Valerie had the option of staying in a motel and then continue driving the road, but she chose not to. Maybe it was because she was stressed out, or because she promised to arrive on time for her sister's birthday or she liked to drive too much. For whatever reason, she kept driving.

After many hours of driving, she needed to go to the bathroom and stretch her legs a bit. So, she pulled over at a gas station. The bathroom was creepy and dirty, just as she expected it to be. The air there was thick and as she was entering the bathroom, she felt a chill run through her spine. She could hear a strange sound coming from one of the stalls. It sounded like someone was crying.

Valerie stepped back, then knocked on the stall door. "Are you okay? Do you need anything?" she asked.

No one answered, but the crying turned louder. Valerie slowly pushed the door and open it, and saw that the stall was empty. She was about to leave when she felt a cold breeze touched her cheek. She turned around and saw a ghostly figure floating in the air and is coming towards her.

Valerie tried to shout, but she couldn't let out a cry from her throat. She froze out of fright and the ghostly figure came closer and closer. She couldn't speak, but she asked for help from Angels and God from the bottom of her heart.

Valerie stared at the ghostly figure, all her body shivered in silence. The figure was staring at her, its eyes filled with an nonnatural power. Suddenly, Valerie some power whispered into her ears, a voice that seemed to come from another universe.

The voice told her that she is stuck in a dangerous situation, that the that ghostly figure is a powerful spirit with the ability to control the coming and goings of the living. It warned her that she must leave this place instantly, or risk losing her soul to it.

Valerie tried to run, but her feet felt like they were planted to the ground. She looked back and saw the spirit coming to attack her.

She panicked, and she looked around for a way to escape. She saw a winged being appearing there, and that being quickly painted a symbol that looked like a protective sigil on the ground.

Valerie moved and decided to step into the sigil. Suddenly, a bright light immersed her whole being, she was happy, she was content. And she was lifted off the ground. When the light disappeared, she found herself near her car and out of the bathroom, far away from the spirit.

The figure followed her, but somehow, presumably because of that light's vibration around Valerie's body, it couldn't get much near to Valerie and Valerie knew this and gained an advantage over the spirit.

Valerie looked back and saw the figure disappearing, its power reduced by the sigil's protective magical energy. She continued on her way towards her sister's house, her heart raced, knowing that she escaped a fate worse than death, almost losing her soul.
