The Painting: the inkwell prompt#65

Melinda was at home, sitting on a purple sofa, and looking at her messy home. She was very tired of nonstop work. Trying to deal with fatigue and energy slump by drinking a cup of coffee.

She looked at the bookshelf with an eagle eye and like a hunter packed books, diary notebooks, dictionaries, and picture frames and put them into a box.

After moving the last box in the kitchen, she remembered that there were still several boxes and a painting left in the attic. She went to the attic. It was dark there and there were cobwebs everywhere. Melinda turned on the light and picked up the remaining boxes and took them down.

She took the used items to the yard for donation and arranged them on a table she had previously prepared for the same purpose. The donation items were an old vintage box, a wristwatch, several old white plates with tiny red flowers all around and yellow dirty spots, and a painting of a beautiful woman in a crimson dress standing on her backside, and her hands near her waist shaped like a flower bud. She had a charismatic strange look.

Little by little, people who were living in that neighborhood entered the yard to see and buy second-hand and old home appliances with a careful look at them. They had plenty of time to wander in the yard.

Suddenly a young girl entered the yard and glanced at all the items and picked up the painting and took it with her. She had recently moved to an apartment in the neighborhood and decided to use second-hand furniture and not spend a lot of money on home appliances.

She went home and stared at the painting on the wall, a golden frame with a painting of a young girl looking at her with long ponytail hair and flower-shaped hands on her skirt. It was all about the talent and art of a painter. She enjoyed its beauty and was immersed in it. She was happy with her choice and went out to buy other things for her house.

When she went shopping, she was constantly thinking about her bad luck and lack of money, because she had no job and no one to help her. She was waiting for a miracle to happen.

When the night came, the girl falls asleep and went to her bed but in the middle of the night, she woke up and heard the sound of an object falling. She opened her eyes and went toward the hall. It was a yellow light shining. It was a girl, dancing around the hall with a bright yellow dress and golden hair, spraying golden light on the door and wall of the house with a wooden magic wand.

After a while when the golden girl felt someone is there, entered the painting like a light and suddenly it got dark again everywhere. The young girl was stunned and did not know what to do. Her eyes popped out when she saw the girl. The golden girl that she saw a few moments ago was the same girl in the painting. She was confused and did not know what was happened.
When she woke up in the morning, she thought that she had a dream last night, but after a while, she realized that it was not a dream and something really happened last night. This time she looked at the painting carefully and suddenly the girl’s dress turned yellow and her hair turned into gold. She was so scared.
Suddenly her phone rang.
Hello Ms. Natail Gunesh
Hello…
You have won $ 1 million dollars in the lottery.
Are you kidding me?
No, I’m serious.
Oh my God.
Was it the chance she was looking for?
After the conversation with the bank secretary, she hung up and asks herself what could be the reason for this luck, and she remembered last night's story. She picked the painting up from the wall and looked at it in a detailed manner. Nothing caught her attention, but suddenly a letter falls from behind the painting onto the floor. She opened the letter and saw that it says” whoever takes care of this painting in his/her house a fortune would smile on him/her.
