As I walked into the room, I knew I was in trouble. I had borrow my dad's car to a party with my friends without his permission and I mistakenly scratch the car. I was so nervous on what to tell my dad.

“Dad, I need to tell you something,” I said, my voice shaking slightly.

My dad look up from his phone that was in his hand. “What is it?”

I took a deep breath. “I took your car yesterday for a party and it was scratched.”

“You did what?” My dad shouted.

My mom rushed out of the room on hearing my dad's voice. “Sweetheart, why are you shouting?” She asked.

“Is your daughter. How did she took my car without permission and she has scratched the car.” He said angrily.

“Sweetheart, calm down. Don't get yourself worked up.” My mom tried to calm my dad.

“I'm sorry Dad, it was a mistake. I shouldn't have taken it without your permission.” I pleaded.

“There is nothing I can do now, you face the music.” My dad said, walking away angrily from the room.

I was dumbfounded because I had nothing with me fixed the car. I was only surviving from the allowances they were giving me. So how was I going to fix the car.

I pleaded with my mom to help me talk to Dad because I don't have any money with me.

“Mom, please help me beg dad to forgive me, I will not do it again.” I pleaded on my knees.

“Your dad gave a serious warming that on no account should anyone use his car without permission and you went and used it.”

“I'm sorry Mom, I wanted to cruise with my friends.” I said remorsefully.

“You wanted to cruise at the expense of your dad's car?” Even when I want to use his car, I will ask for permission not minding his my husband.” My mom said.

“I'm sorry Mom. Please help me beg him.”

“I will try, but I'm not promising you anything.” My mom said, leaving me behind.

I sat in the living room, my heart heavy with regret. I had been dreading this moment for hours, knowing I had made a grave mistake. My dad's car, scratched and dented, sat outside, a constant reminder of my recklessness.

As I waited for my mom to return with my dad, I couldn't help but think about how I was going to fix this mess. I had no savings, and my allowance barely covered my daily expenses. How was I going to pay for the repairs?

My mom walked in with my dad, his expression still stern. "Your mom has told me you're truly sorry," he said, his voice firm but slightly softer than before. "But sorry isn't enough. You need to take responsibility for your actions."

I nodded, feeling a mix of relief and nervousness . "I understand, Dad. I'll do whatever it takes to make it right."

My dad outlined a plan for me to pay for the repairs, deducting a portion of my allowance each month until the debt was paid off. I listened, feeling a sense of determination wash over me. I would face the music, take the consequences, and learn from my mistake.

As my dad finished speaking, my mom placed a reassuring hand on his arm. "We'll get through this together, as a family," she said, smiling at me.

I nodded, feeling a sense of gratitude towards my parents. I knew I had let them down, but they were still willing to support me and teach me a valuable lesson. I vowed to be more responsible and respectful in the future, knowing that facing the music was just the first step towards growth and redemption.
