Material Things Cannot Help You Grow In Your Education

It was not an easy task back then when I was still in secondary school. I was not good enough in the aspects of mathematics and physics. I was only managing to survive in these subjects and this kept and left some questions within me:

How do I cope with science without physics and mathematics?

At a time, I wanted to deviate from being a science student to a commercial, but then I had to think twice since I was in second to the final class. I have almost deviated but something rang a bell of hope in me. My teacher had to call me just to give me some pieces of advice. He was my height teacher to be precise. The only teacher I love and liked so much was Mr. Uze, my geography teacher just because of one thing and one seed he sowed in my life which kept on growing. For life, I will never forget this fact.

I love buying fancy clothes and fancy shoes. Although I was not having money, I was going to the bush to farm for people. I farm just to get money to buy what others were buying. This made me lose focus on my studies and became weary.

He called me to his office one fateful day just to advise me on my choice of course since I was worn out. I was not balanced but was waving from one choice to the other. He said to me vividly "know the kind of area you want to delve into and be focused''. He also said

Material things cannot help you grow in your educational life, you will have more of them when the right time comes.

Immediately after he was done with the advice, I was back to my senses and was in line with my choice.

So, all thanks to Mr. Uze who was so kind and gave me the words that changed me for life, the words that I can never forget in life. He gave me the kind of advice no one would have given to me. My parents were not aware of the change I was making but all believed that I was in line with the science field.

Advising someone can go a long way in making that person the best in life.

After his advice, I became so serious and left the last thought for my initial choice. It was then I became grounded and focused on the area of mathematics and physics. I was and do not want to leave any stone unturned, instead would read every day to make a better or to remain a better place in life. Keeping my dreams was not easy but with Mr. Uze, I was able to make a better choice.

Now, the mathematics and physics I was running from are my best choice and subjects. I'm teaching mathematics and physics at my school. I'm now seen to be the best in my field even though I was not able to fulfill my dream. Maybe that was how destiny wanted it. This sounds better right?

Be focused and determined.
