Tamara was surfing the internet when Facebook suggested a person she might know, Add Daniels Joe as friends, she clicked on his profile to see his profile info and as she scrolled through his profile, his profile picture caught her attention, there was seated a cute handsome man in an exoctic living room and at that moment she didn't hesitate to send him a friend request. "Woooshhh, why so fine?" She whispered beneath her breath as she stare in admiration. "It's not like I know him, but this dude is so fine," she smiled mischievously waiting for him to accept her friend request.

It was taking forever for Daniels Joe to accept her friend request, so she logged off Facebook and headed to the kitchen to fix herself a quick meal as it was getting a bit dark.

She brought out her frying pan from the cupboard, some raw eggs from the crate in the fridge, fresh tomatoes, pepper and some onions as she reached for her knife. "I think some fried eggs would just be perfect for the night," She was about to chop the fresh tomatoes when she heard a beep from her phone.

Immediately, her mind was divided, she dropped the knife and fresh tomatoes she was holding and quickly reach for her phone.. "Daniels Joe accepted your friend request," her notification popped and there she became distracted.

"He should be online right now," She thought, "Hi Daniels, I'm Tamara, your profile picture looks so good!" She held her phone close to her chest skeptical about sending the text she had typed but then her guts convinced her to tap the click button, after which she waited anxiously for his response.

"Thanks Tamara, it's nice to meet you!" Daniels replied swiftly. Her heart leapt for joy she wore a wide smile and left the kitchen with her eyes glued on her phone's screen typing.."So can we be good friends?"

A month passed, Daniels and Tamara had now become very good friends, they share how their day went, what they're up to, gradually Daniel started catching feelings for Tamara.

"Can we go on a date Tamara?" The day Daniel officially wanted them to become an item was the best day ever of Tamara's life, she couldn't wait to be his date. "Yes Daniel we can," She replied in affirmative out of excitement for she had been longing to be by his side all along.

A few times though that Tamara went on a date with Daniels, he was badly behaved especially to the workers he considered to be the common men, like chauffeurs, waiters and even gate keepers. Tamara kept making excuses for him until one day they went out on a date at an exotic bar, Daniel had placed his order to have an intercontinental dish but sadly, the waiter mixed the order up.

"What nonsense is this?" Is this what I ordered for?" He flared up in anger and even spilled the food all over the waiter's face before the waiter could say a word, from that moment Tamara began to question her choice of a partner, even though she had been making excuses for him in the past.

"But that was extreme Daniels, did you really have to spill the food over his face?" She yelled at him, picked up her purse and walked out of him. She realized that he was just a scoundrel, a good for nothing man who was just cute outwardly.

For everytime he pretended to be sorry, he did even worst things which convinced Tamara that, it was a part of his lifestyle to be Ill-mannered to people, it occurred to her that, he wasn't going to change, so she had to decide either to be with him or walk away.

One Saturday evening, she texted him telling him her plan of terminating the relationship, "Hi Daniels, I don't think what we have can work anymore, I think I want to opt out." She was expecting him to work on his bad attitude and look for ways to mend their relationship but to her greatest surprise, he responded with.. "Soldier go, soldier comes, barracks never remains empty, good luck Tamara, I'll find someone better." He was mean to her, not just mean, but valued his ego more than their relationship.

She almost cried, but then she mustered the courage to move on, than spending more time with the man who was Ill-mannered and who doesn't give a hoot about how she felt.

"Looks can really be deceptive," she concluded as she reminisced how badly she wanted to be Daniel's date in the early days of their friendship, just because of his amazing profile picture.
