Good day to you all here in the inkwell community.
We all have our lives to live and the best of it all is to live to the fullest. Many times when we encounter different obstacles and wonder if it was the life we’ve been before.
My life has not been so perfect either. I have my regrets and my secrets too. Many of which I can’t speak to people, I have them rumbling deep inside of me.
I also believe that life is all about stages. We get to pass through some phases to be able to get to another. There is no shortcut when it comes to stages of life. What would be ours would be ours at the right time. I believe we can’t change what has happened, no matter how much we cry. And we can’t turn the hands of time no matter how hard we try…
There was a quote I read some years ago that when you get married to the right person your life would be heaven on earth. But once you get married to the wrong person, you are living hell on earth.
I am always happy to be with the love of my life. Our wedding day was so good but I was also scared on the other side. Would I be able to cater to a family? I am becoming someone they would depend upon. My wife and children would call me husband and father. Would I be able to take out my responsibilities?
Everyone kept on rejoicing with us but after the wedding, they would have to leave us alone to ourselves. Nobody cares about misunderstanding and quarreling anymore. Such a life to live.
I have seen my parents have misunderstandings and settle them amicably. The question here is would my wife be the same? I have prayed for the woman of my dreams, a submissive one with respect and honor, a wife and a mother. And there she comes.
We’ve courted for years and we must have thought we are compatible together. But the journey ahead of us is far from the one we’ve lived.
Many have prayed for us and wished us a blissful life together. It’s left to us to live by it…
I love what I do and the nature of my job. Most times I see it to be a lot stressful but still, I am always left with no option but to keep doing it. I have always thought of a job that would fetch me more money and less stress. Many times I had dreams of myself as a pilot or a banker, but here I found myself doing another thing entirely.
Finally, I saw myself as a freelancer. I found a job where I would have to sit at home and work. But the limiting factor about this job of mine I don’t like is that my expense is more than the earnings I get.
It became a challenge a took it upon myself to get a job that pays well. Would I still have to leave freelancing? Or should I just call it my present source of income? I am sure it had became a part of me. I just have to keep both running smoothly.
Gone are days when I was just alone, it would have been better if I were to cater for myself alone. But now I think I got a lot of responsibilities to attend to. Anyways I am a writer and I also know how much I write to motivate others to do better and bring out the best of themselves. Now it’s my turn to make use of those motivations. Hopefully, it would work out fine for me.
Many times it’s not all about hard work, hard work pays but I believe grace pays better. So in everything I do, I would always work hard like I never knew how to pray, and I would also pray like I never know how to work. I believe things are going to turn out for the better…
The best thing is to have a roof over our heads. A roof we can be so proud of, but still, a shelter would always remain a shelter. Either self-owned or rented. I am pleased with the apartment I am living in right now but I would be happy if I could get one of my own.
It’s a three-bedroom flat apartment with a sitting room and a central kitchen. I am living with my brother too. Yeah, that’s much better than living with an outsider. But after marriage what would it look like? The commotion and all sorts. We would try to manage ourselves pending the time we would build a house of our own.
We have dreams of owning a little farm in the backyard where we can plant some crops and rear animals. I just want to live a happy life.
I have made a list of three aspects of life. My life after getting married, my job, and my apartment… Two of these stories are true and one is a lie... I am sure you enjoyed reading about me. Have a guess of which is true and the lies among them before I reveal the first one to be false and the last two to be true…
Thanks so much for reading.
