Dear Treasure,

Dear Treasure,

It's been quite a while since you penned down the things that directly concern your feelings and you as a person. I guess you've forgotten that the fondest and most real of dreams are the ones written down.

I won't fault you for neglecting to do that. You do neglect everything these days, don't you? Your friends and people that were once the focal point of your life, are all swept under the rug. Not because you no longer value them but because you feel there will always be time to rectify lost relationships.

Maybe you've forgotten that you, yourself abide by the rule that once relationships are even remotely severed, they can't return to how it was again. Yet choosing to live in self-denial that all will be well, in the end, is what you're living by and I hope with all my heart you're right and that you're not making mistakes by trying to rectify other mistakes.

I want you to always see yourself as the best in your own way. You don't have to compare yourself to everyone. Sometimes insecurities creep up on us when we're faced with the successes of our friends and it feels like we've not done enough. But you don't have to be too hard on yourself. You might not be going through leaps and bounds but you're moving. Steadily, surely, having little successes and little wins and that's what matters.

I want you to remember to see every obstacle as a stepping stone. There won't be a need for anything if you sink into depression and start questioning your self-worth at every little setback. Turn life's lemons into lemonades. Don't let the challenges of life weigh you down. You're bigger than that and I like to believe you're stronger too.

Stay content with what you have. Whatever you can't afford right now, is not meant for you to have right now. The looks of longing at the things you can't currently have won't bring them to your table but working with the mindset that you can get anything you want if you want it badly enough will push you to make the right choices.

And also, don't forget to smile, you knucklehead. You're way too serious for my liking. Life doesn't always have to be about being so rigid. No matter the serious face you keep, it doesn't stop anything that wants to happen from happening. And then, if that's not enough to motivate you, think of the fact that the more you frown, the more wrinkles on that pretty face. You don't want that, do you? Take the time to relax sometimes. Doing the things you love and seeing happiness wherever you go.

And lastly, don't forget God. He's the reason you've made it this far in the first place. Never forget your roots and all the values instilled in you. Don't forget he doesn't allow temptations that he isn't sure you're able to overcome. So, try not to let Him down, will you?

You're gaining new heights, and I know, you'll have everything you want in the end.

With all my love,
Tessa.🖤

PS: Do try to write more often, really, it's getting annoying. Bye.
