" The Waves are Calling "
Last weekend, I was in the Northern part of Cebu Philippines for a Hive Onboarding Orientation that was held in Kal-anan National High School. With me are @ybanezkim26 and @indayclara. The event was scheduled to last July 29, 2023, at 9:00 am in the morning. You can visit this blog to know more about our Hive Onboarding Orientation.
The Location of orientation is 3 hours away from the place I currently live in so we decided (together with @ybanezkim26) to overnight at @Indayclara’s rest house in San Remigio. It was convenient for us to stay here cause we don’t need to travel for an early ride going to Tabogon Cebu. (Location of oreintation)
It's my second time in this place, I was here last December 2020 together with my previous colleagues and it is fun to remember the memories I have on this beach, to tell you that moment I have with them was epically unforgettable. It is the night when some of my colleagues almost sleep behind the bar 😅. One thing I look forward to in Clara's place was the beach area. It is just a few steps from the house, easily accessible, and open to everyone.
It was 10:30 pm on Friday night when we arrived at Clara's house. So I just preclude my excitement that time to see the beach cause it was a bit late for a beach walk and we were tired as well from a long ride. So I reserve my energy for the next day.
6:30 am already when I woke up in the morning. Clara is also on his feet at that time and preparing for the event, while Kim is still in bed. So I ask Clara if I will visit the bay area for a quick morning walk. And this is the view that welcomes me.
It's a little gloomy at that time, but the clear water and the fine white sand on the shoreline still captivate and enchant you to explore more. Though there are some shrubs and seaweeds on the shoreline it is still beautiful.
At first, I sat down on the sea wall and feel the breeze and waves of the ocean. Having a view like this in the morning feels really great.
I don't know if you experience this as well.
Having a moment like this when you are alone and looking at this kind of view always reminds me of my Journey in life, my challenges, problems, and happy and sad moments. It's a little cringy if you realize it. But it is satisfying. I don't know but having a moment like this with nature feels really good and it boosts me somehow.
After 15 minutes, I walk around the shoreline to see what is new and happening on the beach during the morning. It is High tide at that time and you will see a lot of residents and visitors already on the beach too, ready to deep in.
On the beach area, there are resorts and restaurants ready to serve the guest and travelers of the place. One thing that I don't like was the extended sea wall of every resort that destroyed the beauty of the beach. I wish they will realize it.
The residents of this area are truly blessed to have this gift of nature. they can swim, they can dive, they can walk on shoreline barefoot anytime they want. They have a place that can distress and energize life. Hoping they will take care of this amazing gift.
I stay on the beach for one hour and go back to Clara's rest house to prepare for Onboarding. It is just a short time but it's already enough to fuel up my energy for the event and the incoming days ahead. There will Next time for sure to explore more the beach of San Remigio.
About San Remigio
Talking about San Remigio, this place is also known for its beautiful beach area and underground marine life for scuba and free diving. In fact, the beach of San Remigio is considered the longest shoreline on the Island Of Cebu. It is located in the Northern part of Cebu Philippines. If you want to visit the place you will Travel from Cebu City for 3-4 hours by Bus or private vehicle and 4$ is enough to reach San-Remegio.
