Un saludo a todas mis amistades de la #colmena, en especial a esos docentes, a esos educadores que día a día, luchan por sacar adelante sus pequeños, dando lo mejor de sí, aprendiendo junto a sus hijos, en los quehaceres del día a día; se que estaba bastante ausente de la plataforma, pero aquí estoy nuevamente, porque necesito de sus orientaciones, de sus ideas, de sus palabras para ver como logro desenvolverme más, en esta nueva carrera que a penas inicia.
A greeting to all my friends of the #hive, especially to those teachers, to those educators who every day, struggle to bring forward their children, giving the best of themselves, learning with their children, in the daily chores; I know I was quite absent from the platform, but here I am again, because I need your guidance, your ideas, your words to see how I can develop myself more, in this new career that has just begun.
Mi interés en la educación, comienza en el momento en que, me tocó sentarme frente a mi pequeña Zarisha José a hacer su primera tarea que le mandaron. La niña sin darme cuenta, ya había crecido y yo sin prepararme ni leer ningún artículo me enfrente a esto que llaman, educación a distancia en tiempo de covid. Recuerdo que aquello fue un desastre, la niña terminó llorando por un lado, quizá, gracias a mis regaños, y yo lloré por el otro, creo que de impotencia por no haberlo logrado.
My interest in education began when I had to sit in front of my little Zarisha José to do her first homework. Without realizing it, the little girl had already grown up and I, without preparing myself or reading any article, faced this so called distance education in covid time. I remember that it was a disaster, the girl ended up crying on one side, perhaps thanks to my scolding, and I cried on the other, I think out of helplessness for not having succeeded.
Me apoyé en mi madre, quién es maestra de educación básica, copié algunos patrones pero igual quedé insatisfecho, Zarisha me hacia muy tedioso esta tarea de educarla. Mi esposa, me ayudo mucho intentando enseñar con diferentes herramientas pero entonces llegó la maestra, a acelerar el proceso mandando más tareas y se me acumuló todo, y la niña sin realizar ninguna, es así como me decido, a leer, a buscar más ayuda y pues creo que lo estoy logrando, han mejorado los resultados.
I relied on my mother, who is a teacher of basic education, I copied some patterns but I was still unsatisfied, Zarisha made me very tedious this task of educating her. My wife helped me a lot trying to teach with different tools but then the teacher arrived, to accelerate the process by sending more tasks and everything piled up, and the child did not do any, that is how I decided to read, to look for more help and I think I am succeeding, the results have improved.
Después de algunas lecturas exhautivas, pude extender, que para entrar en el mundo de un niño, hay que volver a ser uno de ellos; es imaginar, es soñar, es caminar en ese ambiente mágico en el cual ellos andan. No ganamos nada, tratando de imponer nuestros ideales, así alejamos, causamos daños, aumentamos el problema. Entendí con Zarisha, que irme al medio ambiente, que sentarme en el suelo, que reírme mientras nós equivocamos, que premiar con un beso en la mejilla, suelen ser las herramientas más valiosas, que nos llevará al éxito de este reto, del educar en casa.
After some exhaustive reading, I was able to extend, that to enter the world of a child, you have to become one of them again; it is to imagine, it is to dream, it is to walk in that magical environment in which they walk. We do not gain anything by trying to impose our ideals, we push them away, we cause damage, we increase the problem. I understood with Zarisha, that to go to the environment, to sit on the floor, to laugh while we make mistakes, to reward with a kiss on the cheek, are usually the most valuable tools that will lead us to the success of this challenge, of homeschooling.
Es importante resaltar, que la formación de los padres y la familia implica transmitirle la información necesaria para que influya en la atención a las necesidades de formación y desarrollo de sus hijos. Se trata de una acción formativa de sensibilización y aprendizaje, que comienza con el fortalecimiento, mediante el ejemplo, de los padres en las prácticas educativas hacia sus hijos. Esto comprende un proceso de desarrollo individual y familiar tendiente a perfeccionar las capacidades de sentir, imaginar, comprender y aprender, utilizando los conocimientos adquiridos a favor de la educación de sus hijos.
It is important to emphasize that the training of parents and the family implies transmitting the necessary information to influence the attention to the training and development needs of their children. It is a formative action of awareness and learning, which begins with the strengthening, by example, of parents in the educational practices towards their children. This involves a process of individual and family development aimed at perfecting the ability to feel, imagine, understand and learn, using the knowledge acquired in favor of their children's education.
En la actualidad, ante los embates de la pandemia del COVID-19, existen dos elementos fundamentales que deben tomarse en cuenta en la formación de los padres y la familia. Primero, el efecto que está provocando la pandemia, que resulta de dimensiones inestimables, ya que, ha infectado a millones de personas y ha cobrado la vida de más de un millón de ciudadanas y ciudadanos en todo el mundo. Esto ha obligado al gobierno de la República Bolivariana de Venezuela a suspender las clases presenciales en el mes de marzo de 2020 y, trasladar la escuela hacia la casa para continuar la formación de los hijos. Segundo, esta casa por escuela se desarrolla con el uso de la educación a distancia (EaD), lo cual implica el manejo de las tecnologías a favor de la enseñanza y el aprendizaje.
Today, in the face of the onslaught of the COVID-19 pandemic, there are two fundamental elements that must be taken into account in the education of parents and families. First, the effect that the pandemic is causing, which is of inestimable dimensions, since it has infected millions of people and has claimed the lives of more than one million citizens around the world. This has forced the government of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela to suspend on-site classes in the month of March 2020 and move the school to the home to continue the education of their children. Second, this home by school is developed with the use of distance education (EaD), which implies the use of technologies in favor of teaching and learning.
Todo ello, hace pensar que nuestros hijos en su rol de estudiantes van a aprender desde nuestras casas aparentemente solos, típico de los procesos de EaD, recibiendo información del docente mediante una ayuda ajustada a sus necesidades personales, que irá disminuyendo en la medida que el estudiante progrese, se haga más independiente y, construya de manera autónoma sus conocimientos. Por tanto, en todo este proceso de enseñanza y aprendizaje el papel del docente será el de orientar y acompañar al estudiante.
All this leads us to think that our children, in their role as students, will learn from our homes, apparently alone, typical of the EaD processes, receiving information from the teacher through help adjusted to their personal needs, which will diminish as the student progresses, becomes more independent and autonomously builds their knowledge. Therefore, throughout this teaching and learning process, the role of the teacher will be to guide and accompany the student.
Sin embargo, esto no garantiza que el estudiante no se sienta solo, que sienta que ya no tiene a su compañero de clases que abrazaba, con quién conversaba, realizaba sus tareas y a su profesor que lo orientaba cara a cara. Ahora vive en la distancia, lo que provoca que el papel de los padres y de la familia se multiplique. Esa muchacha o muchacho, ahora necesita más que nunca el apoyo de sus padres y de su familia, que a su vez necesitan capacitarse y formarse para emprender una nueva forma de vida al lado de sus hijos, apoyándolos para que superen las tareas de aprendizaje que les asigna el docente.
However, this does not guarantee that the student does not feel alone, that he no longer has the classmate he used to hug, talk to, do his homework with and the teacher who guided him face to face. Now he lives in the distance, which causes the role of parents and family to multiply. This girl or boy now needs more than ever the support of their parents and family, who in turn need to be trained and educated to undertake a new way of life alongside their children, supporting them to overcome the learning tasks assigned to them by the teacher.
Finalmente puedo dar Fe, que si nós abocamos a demostrar amor, mientras realizamos cualquier actividad con el niño, obtendremos grandes frutos a lo largo de esta tarea, no sólo realizar la actividad que nós exige el docente, sino también, ganaremos la confianza del educando; recordemos que un niño no necesita un padre a quién tenerle miedo, necesita un amigo, un confidente, una especial compañía, que esté a su nivel, y lo oriente a construir su mundo, su aprendizaje, mientras juega, ríe, y va superando sus obstáculos lentamente.
Finally, I can attest that if we focus on showing love while doing any activity with the child, we will obtain great results throughout this task, not only to perform the activity required by the teacher, but also to gain the trust of the student; remember that a child does not need a parent to be afraid of, he needs a friend, a confidant, a special company, who is at his level, and guides him to build his world, his learning, while he plays, laughs, and slowly overcomes his obstacles.
Bueno amigos, hasta aquí esta pequeña investigación, que sin lugar a dudas, me sirvió de gran herramienta para enmendar mi falla con mi pequeña bebita.
