Greetings, community. I hope you are all doing well—especially your sons and daughters, who are the driving force of our existence. I wanted to share that in my country, Venezuela, school classes began on September 16th.
Last week was quiet and not very busy, except that on Friday, classes ended at 10:00 a.m. for my two daughters' first meetings of the year. The meetings were scheduled for the same time, so my husband attended the second-grade classroom where Rogsanny studies, and I went to the sixth-grade classroom where Rogmary studies.
The meeting I attended began with 11 representatives present; we were welcomed, and the teacher spoke about her expectations for the children's performance throughout the school year. She highlighted her professional qualifications, noting that she holds postgraduate degrees and professional diplomas, in addition to having completed other degree programs.
She states that she is demanding and requires your cooperation at home while she focuses on her children's education here. Activities will include workshops, debates, analysis, and the creation of mind maps, among others.
These assignments are primarily meant to be completed in class; anyone who doesn't finish will have to complete them, in addition to any work assigned to be done at home. We were informed that a diagnostic assessment was conducted to gauge the children's level coming from the previous grade and to address any areas needing reinforcement.
He emphasized that students must not miss class unless there is a valid reason; an absence rate of 65 percent results in failing the year. If the teacher is absent, students will be occupied with assignments to be evaluated the following day.
We were informed that two parents and two students needed to be selected to serve in a supporting role on the educational council committees. Additionally, each parent was to write down a proposed rule of conduct on a slip of paper; if selected, that rule would be taken into consideration.
We were given the name of the project for this initial phase—"Identity and Emotions"—along with related activities for the first term. As lunchtime approached, the teacher concluded by informing us that the students' graduation ceremony would be held at the school itself to avoid the issues encountered in previous years.
Another important point is that you should ask your children what they want to be when they grow up so they don't feel aimless, as this will determine the profession or trade they pursue. You should also start considering two high schools where the student might study.
She thanked us for attending and reminded us of the commitment to values that each parent has toward their child—just as she is committed to imparting the knowledge needed for the stages ahead. I met up with my husband on the way out, and we headed home together as a family.

Saludos comunidad,espero esten bien todos, en especial sus hijos y hijas que son el motor de nuestra existencia. Les cuento que en mi país Venezuela iniciaron las clases el 16 de septiembre en la escuela.
La semana pasada fue tranquila sin tanta actividad,solo que el viernes hubo clases hasta las 10:00am por la primera reunión del año de mis dos hijas. La coincidencia fue en la hora, así que mi esposo asistió al salon de segundo grado donde estudia Rogsanny y yo al salón de sexto grado donde estudia Rogmary.
La reunión donde estaba yo, inició con 11 representantes, se nos dio la bienvenida, nos habló que espera un buen desempeño de los niños durante el grado. Destacó la maestra que está profesionalmente preparada, ha hecho posgrado, diplomados, además de otras carreras.
Manifiesta de que es exigente, y necesita la colaboración de ustedes en el hogar, mientras se ocupa de la educación de sus hijos aquí. Entre las acttividades a realizar serán talleres, debates, análisis, realización de mapas mentales, entre otros.
Dichas asignaciones más que todo es para realizarlas aquí y el que no la terminé tendrá que hacerla, a eso se le añade la que mande para la casa. Nos informó que realizó una evaluación diagnóstica para saber como vienen los niños del grado anterior y así reforzar las deficiencias.
Recalcó no deben faltar a clases a menos que sea justificado, se pierde el año con un 65 por ciento de inasistencia. Si la maestra llega a faltar estarán ocupados con tarea para ser evaluada al día siguiente.
Se nos habló que había elegir dos representantea y dos eatudiantes que estarían en los comites del consejo educativo ejerciendo una función de respaldo. Por otro lado cada representante en un papel escribe una norma de convivencia, que será tomada en cuenta si la eligen.
Se nos dio el nombre del proyecto para este primer momento que se llama identidad y emociones con actividades relacionadas durante el primer lapso. Ya se acercaba la hora de almuerzo, así que la maestra para finalizar nos comunica que el acto de grado de los estudiantes será en la institución para evitar inconvenientes de años pasados.
Otro punto importante, deben preguntarle a sus hijos que quieren ser cuando sea grande para que no ande perdido,ya que será la profesión o oficio a desarrollar. Hay que ir pensando dos nombres de liceos donde posiblemente estudiará el estudiante.
Nos dio las gracias por asistir y nos recordó el compromiso en valores que cada representante tiene con su hijo, así como ella lo tiene en impartir conocimientos para etapas sucesivas. Me encontré en la salida con mi esposo y nos fuimos, en familia, hacia nuestro dulce
hogar.
