Hey hive tribe!
Coming back with part 2 of my Queensland trip from a couple of years ago. Have a look at part 1 in case you missed it over here :
@wanderingkat/queensland-and-its-beauty-never-disappoints-part-1
After my first few days in Queensland, I decided to hire a car to make it more convenient and to be able to see more.
I knew that I needed to at least see 3 more spots - Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast and Byron Bay.
I wish I had more time to actually spend more days in each place, but I know I will come back again and explore it in more details.
The reason why I always wanted to go to Australia was that I had to see with my own eyes if the beaches are actually as beautiful as you see them in pictures and I can of course easily confirm that!
My first stop was South Australia of course and I already saw the beauty in its nature, landscape, beaches but coming to Queensland was an even bigger surprise! Absolutely breathtaking!
Gold Coast
Skypoint Observation Deck is a must see when in Gold Coast. At about 270 m above sea level and 320 m height it is one of the tallest residential buildings in the world and it offers stunning panoramic views of the Gold Coast. With views like this, there is no better way to enjoy a cup of coffee and a nice lunch.
Byron Bay (NSW)
I was especially impressed by Byron Bay (which is located only 160 km from Queensland border) and I could see why it's such a popular place (and a celebrity hot spot).
The Cape Byron Lighthouse is probably the most visited spots in the town and it marks the most easterly point of the Australian mainland.
Sunshine Coast
Apparently Sunshine Coast (which was originally named Near North Coast) used to be a home for runaway convicts and the reason was just due to being so close to Brisbane.
It is also good to know (for next time I go there) that the Coast has the largest number of organic, meditation and yoga stores in the whole country. So convenient to find that information now!
Thanks for watching!
See you next time :)
