Queensland again!
Yes, I've recently made a post about my recent trip to this beautiful state, where I had the most memorable experience seeing the Great Barrier Reef from above. You can read about it here :

But this wasn't my first time in Queensland. I went there a few years ago for a holiday. How I travel is sort of like this - 50/50, meaning I make a bit of a plan on where to go and what to see, but half the time I just figure it out as I go. I think that's where the adventure is more real and also keeps me in the moment. If you make a plan for everything, you live in the known, from all the work I've done on myself, living in the unknown is what we need more often. The more often, the better.
So, first stop was Brisbane! I booked a hotel room there and decided to also rent a car so I can go further away half my trip.
I found Brisbane to be a beautiful city, with lots of parks and a charming vibe while walking by the river. I didn't explore much of the actual city, but I made sure to go for a nice walk around the park.
I quickly searched around on what to go and see and found a Koala sanctuary just a few bus stops away.
Moreton Island
Whenever I go anywhere that is surrounded by water, I have to go on a boat trip and do some snorkelling. I found an option to go to Moreton Island for a day and it was an awesome experience! We saw some dolphins, dugongs and a few giant turtles, and plenty of fish while snorkelling around the amazing Tangalooma wrecks! The water was perfect temperature and crystal clear!
Tamborine Rainforest Skywalk
Next day I went to google maps to see what looks interesting and found this place quite appealing. I mean, I read rainforest and skywalk and it got my attention, and as I looked on their website quickly, I found it to be something I want to go and see. And it turned out to be a nice spot to spend the afternoon. It's not very big and you get around the place pretty quickly but it was a nice experience going through a jungle and pretend to be somewhere else. Would I go again? Probably not! I feel like it's a bit too small for it to be worth another drive there but I don't regret it. They have also a nice eco gallery where you can find exotic insects and butterfly collection and we can't forget the cafe to load up on that caffeine :)
Thanks for reading!
See you in Part 2 . Lots of amazing scenic pictures coming up :)
