Continuing the previous posts about Naples, Capri, and Anacapri, we arrive at Sorrento and then Amalfi Coast.

Sorrento is the location of our hotel because it is cheaper than the hotels on the Amalfi Coast, here's a tip for those who want to save money.

We stayed in a very comfortable chalet, the Villaggio Turistico Fiori D'Arancio.

Arriving at the hotel we were welcomed with craft beer and chips. I loved.

But before exploring Sorrento, let's first explore the Amalfi Coast, which is south of Sorrento and has many beaches! How wonderful!!!

I advance that the beaches of Sorento also leave nothing to be desired. Already follow to find out more. In the next post I'll tell you about Sorrento.

The road

It was an incredible experience to change your plans, all challenges in travel are part of the discovery and adventure.

During my research, I read that traveling from the Amalfi coata by bus is worth it. Buying a ticket that goes for the whole day with several buses available.

However, if you have heard about this region, you know that it is famous for its narrow and congested roads, as well as crowded buses.

Why not try the bus?... As I mentioned in the planning post, the idea would be to try to make an economical trip to be able to stay as many days as possible. One more perrengue (bother) of the trip.

But when trying to catch the bus that goes to the Amalfi Coast, we found a huge queue and we couldn't board the first bus, so we decided to rent a motorbike.

There are things that are not worth saving and here our time is also money and having to wait for new buses and queues would be time consuming.

Best decision was renting a motorbike!

At that time, a motto of the trip emerged. It only gets better!! Which we used on several other occasions on this trip, because when it looked like the plan hadn't worked out, it only got better!

Out of nowhere we were motorized ready to cut the cliffs along the winding roads.

Renting a motorbike on the Amalfi Coast was one of the best decisions we've ever made. If you are planning a trip to the Amalfi Coast, I recommend renting a motorbike because its a much better way to explore the cities in the region.

Easy to park and enter the narrow lanes of the villas. Remembering that the region has many climbs and stairs. Good thing Capri already trained us.

Another popular option was boat trips, private or shared depending on your budget. But two things were decisive, the sea with a lot of waves and the fact that we love driving.

As my friend and I are passionate about vehicles like cars and motorcycles like a good Brazilian, we always imagined riding on Italian roads, with Italian vehicles, which I only knew from movies and video games.

To help, to rent the motorcycle it was not necessary to present an international driver's license, we had to show that we knew how to ride a motorcycle by completing a circuit directly at the rental company.

We rented the motorbike for 4 days, so we set aside two days to visit Amalfi, was around 140 km traveled.

Along the road, we encountered several traffic jams with cars and buses, but we managed to pass easily.

Now we understand why Smart was invented. ??

We avoided the traffic that forms on curves with buses and cars trying to pass through narrow places and tunnels and whenever we saw the crowded bus lines, we saw that the motorcycle was the best option.

And we still had the freedom to stop wherever we wanted to take pictures and enjoy the scenery.

Nerano

Marina del Cantone beach in Nerano is a destination for those who want a peaceful beach. After driving along a winding road, reach Praia de Mary that has crystalline water and a incredible view of the coast.

Upon arriving at the beach you can rent chairs and umbrellas to enjoy the sun and more, there are a lot of restaurants and bars along the beach.

It is also a good for snorkeling in a calm water beach with rocks on the side, definitely is well worth a visit.

Marina di Praia

Marina di Praia is a beautiful beach located near Praiano.

Surrounded by cliffs overlooking the sea. Right there the Grotta dello Smeraldo is a marine cave that is close to Amalfi.

It is known for its crystalline blue water that reflect on the cave walls creating a magical atmosphere.

Due strong waves, it was closed but it is possible to take a boat trip when calmer waters. Even so, we were able to admire the beauty of the coast.

Praiano

Praiano is a mandatory stop for anyone visiting the Amalfi Coast.

Our visit to Praiano was quick, but we couldn't miss the famous church of San Gennaro and its beautiful dome that the church is located at the top of the city and offers an incredible sea and mountains views.

Considered one of the most important churches on the Amalfi Coast and is an unmissable tourist spot for anyone passing by.

Fiordo di furore

On the first day, we took the shortest route, with the first stop planned for Fiordo di Furore and then on to Ravello, which is the farthest point we wanted to visit.

Fiordo di Furore was a beach that I ever dreamed to visit, is a small coastal village with a beautiful beach hidden between the mountains and with the road leading up to the cliff. surreal.

We stayed there for a few hours before continuing our road trip with destination Amalfi and Ravello...

Atrani

A picturesque village close to Amalfi. narrow winding streets, ancient churches and squares on the Way to Ravello.

Ravello

Ravello is a hill town overlooking the Mediterranean Sea and the climb up there is incredible, cutting through the cliffs and incredible views.

An interesting fact for us Brazilians is that the city has an auditorium created by Oscar Niemeyer. The city is known as “la città della musica”, the city of music.

I thought everything in Ravello is beautiful, the streets, buildings, parks, churches, the view!!! Anyway, a place that is really worth going up the mountain to visit.

Villa Rufolo with the central square and the church, children playing there, restaurant with tables on the terrace to sit and relax looking at this incredible view of the city and the sea.

After spending the day exploring these two villages, we made one more stop in Positano. Another unmissable place on the coast.

Positano

Ah Positano, so famous and should be for sure. Positano is a very beautiful town with shops, restaurants, beach clubs and bars.

On both days positano was a must stop, the sunset behind the city is amazing and then the lights come on and it becomes a more amazing scene.

Dinner was a beautiful steak at Hotel La Ancora with the Colosi Nero d'Avola wine it was excellent. The Nero d'Avola grape is one of my favorites.

Ice cream parlor with the most stylish dog in Positano, posing for a photo with his gold chain.

The night walk along the beach with a view of the city lit up at night is one.

At the Ocean Bar on the beach and welcomed with Brazilian music, including forró, sertanejo and pagode, but they need to update their repertoire. And all this with excellent public and service.

Amalfi

Amalfi is a port town with an impressive cathedral, as well as many shops and restaurants.

We managed to explore a lot there, going up and down the streets of the city, visiting some places at the top and then we went to the beach to enjoy some sun and relax a little after walking a lot.

It's a lot of stairs, knees have to be well prepared.

On the way back, we made another stop in Positano in the evening, this time to try some of the restaurants we missed the night before. And sure, more Gelato.

Ficamos hospedados em um chalé muito confortável, o Villaggio Turistico Fiori D'Arancio.

Chegando no hotel fomos recebidos com cerveja artesanal e chips. Adorei.

Mas antes de explorar Sorrento, vamos primeiro explorar a Costa Amalfitana, que fica ao sul de Sorrento e tem muitas praias! Que maravilha!!!

Adianto que as praias de Sorento também não deixam nada a desejar. Já segue para saber mais. No Próximo post conto sobre Sorrento.

A Estrada

Foi uma experiência incrível mudar is planos, todos perrengues nas viagens fazem parte do descobrimento e aventura.

Durante minhas pesquisas, li que fazer trajeto da coata Amalfi de ônibus vale a pena. Comprando um bilhete que vale pelo dia todo com vários ônibus disponíveis.

Porém, Se você já ouviu falar sobre essa região, sabe que ela é famosa pelas estradas estreitas e congestionadas, bem como pelos ônibus lotados.

Por que nao tentar o ônibus?... Como tinha comentado no post de planejamento, a ideia seria tentar fazer uma viagem econômica para poder ficar máximo de dias possíveis. Mais um perrengue da viagem.

Mas ao tentar pegar o ônibus que vai para a Costa Amalfi, nos deparamos com uma fila enorme, não conseguimos embarcar no primeiro ônibus, então Decidimos ir alugar uma moto.

Tem coisas que nao vale a pena economizar e aqui nosso tempo também é dinheiro. Ter que aguardar novos onibus e enfrentar as filas iria consumir muito tempo.

Melhor coisa foi ter alugado uma moto!

Nessa hora surgiu um lema da viagem. Só melhora!! Que usamos em vários outras ocasiões nesta viagem, pois quando parecia que o plano não tinha dado certo, só melhorava!

Do nada estavamos motorizados prontos para cortar os penhascos pelas estradas sinuosas.

Alugar uma moto na Costa Amalfi foi uma das melhores decisões que tivemos. Se você estiver planejando uma viagem à Costa Amalfi, eu recomendo alugar uma moto porque é uma maneira muito melhor de explorar as vilas da região.

Fácil de estacionar e entrar nas vielas estreitas das vilas. Lembrando que a região tem muitas subidas e escadas. Ainda bem que Capri já treinou nois.

Outra opção muito usada eram os passeios de barco, privativos ou compartilhados dependendo da sua carteira. Mas duas coisas foram decisivas, o mar estar com muitas ondas e o fato que adoramos dirigir.

Como meu amigo e eu somos apaixonados por veículos como carros e motos como um bom brasileiro, sempre imaginamos andar nas estradas italianas, com os veículos italianos, que somente conhecia por filmes e video games.

Para ajudar, para alugar a moto não foi preciso apresentar carteira de motorista internacional, tivemos que mostrar que sabíamos andar de moto completando um circuito direto na locadora.

Alugamos a moto por 4 dias, portanto separamos dois dias para visitar Amalfi, foram cerca de 140 km percorridos.

Por toda estrada, nos deparamos com diversos congestionamentos de carros e ônibus, mas conseguíamos passar facilmente.

Agora entendemos porque o Smart foi inventado. ??

Evitamos o trânsito que se forma nas curvas com onibus e carros tentando passar em locais estreitos e túneis e sempre que víamos as linhas de ônibus lotados, vimos que a moto foi melhor opção.

E ainda tivemos a liberdade de parar em qualquer lugar que quisesse para tirar fotos e apreciar a paisagem.

Nerano

A praia de Marina del Cantone em Nerano é um destino para quem quer uma praia tranquila. Depois de percorrer uma estrada sinuosa, chega-se à Praia de Mary, com águas cristalinas e uma vista incrível do litoral.

Ao chegar na praia você pode alugar cadeiras e guarda-sóis para aproveitar o sol e muito mais, há muitos restaurantes e bares ao longo da praia.

Também é uma boa para mergulho em uma praia de águas calmas com pedras ao lado, definitivamente vale a pena uma visita.

Marina di Praia

Marina di Praia é uma bela praia localizada perto de Praiano.

Rodeado pelos penhascos com vista para o mar. Ali mesmo a Grotta dello Smeraldo é uma caverna marinha que fica perto de Amalfi.

É conhecida por suas águas azuis cristalinas que refletem nas paredes da caverna criando uma atmosfera mágica.

Devido às fortes ondas, esteve fechado mas é possível fazer um passeio de barco quando as águas estão mais calmas. Mesmo assim, pudemos admirar a beleza da costa.

Praiano

Praiano é uma parada obrigatória para quem está visitando a Costa Amalfitana.

A nossa passagem por Praiano foi rápida, mas não poderíamos deixar de conhecer a famosa igreja de San Gennaro e sua linda cúpula.

A igreja fica localizada no alto da cidade e oferece uma vista incrível do mar e das montanhas.

Considerada uma das igrejas mais importantes da Costa Amalfitana e é um ponto turístico imperdível para quem está passando por lá.

Fiordo di furore

No primeiro dia, fizemos o caminho mais curto, com a primeira parada planejada para Fiordo di Furore e depois seguir até Ravello, que é ponto mais distante que queríamos visitar.

Fiordo di Furore era uma praia que eu sempre sonhei em visitar, é um pequeno vilarejo costeiro com uma bela praia escondida entre as montanhas e com a estrada passando lá em cima no penhasco. Surreal.

Ficamos lá por algumas horas antes de continuar nossa viagem com destino Amalfi e Ravello...

Atrani

Uma pitoresca vila próxima a Amalfi. ruas estreitas e sinuosas, igrejas antigas e praças no Caminho para Ravello.

Bora subir a serra!

Ravello

Ravello é uma cidade montanhosa com vista para o Mar Mediterrâneo e A subida até lá é incrível, cortando os penhascos e vistas incríveis.

Fato interessante para nós brasileiros, é que an cidade tem um auditório criado por Oscar Niemeyer. A cidade é Conhecida como “la città della musica”, a cidade da música.

Achei tudo em Ravello é lindo, as ruas, construções parques, ingrejas, a vista!!! Enfim, um lugar que realmente vale a pena subir a serra para conhecer.

Villa Rufolo com a praça central e a igreja, as crianças brincado por la, restaurante com mesas no terraço para sentar e relaxer olhando essa vista incrível da cidade e do mar.

Depois de passar o dia explorando essas duas vilas, fizemos mais uma parada em Positano. Outro lugar imperdível da Costa.

Positano

Positano é uma cidade muito bella com lojas, restaurantes, beach clubs e bares.

Nos dois dias positano foi uma parada obrigatória, o pôr do sol atrás da cidade é incrível e então as luzes se acendem e se tornam uma cena mais incrível.

Jantar foi um bello bife no Hotel La Ancora com o vinho Colosi Nero d'Avola foi excelente. A uva Nero d'Avola é uma das que mais gosto.

Sorveteria com o cachorro mais estiloso de Positano, fazendo pose pra foto com sua corrente de ouro.

O passeio noturno pela praia com vista da cidade iluminada à noite é uma.

No Ocean Bar na praia e recebidos com músicas brasileiras, incluindo forró, sertanejo e pagode, Mas precisam atualizar o repertório. E tudo isso com excelente público e atendimento.

Amalfi

Amalfi é uma cidade portuária com uma catedral impressionante e também muitas lojas e restaurants.

Conseguimos explorar bastante por lá, subindo e descendo pelas ruas da cidade, visitando alguns lugares no altos e depois seguimos para a praia para curtir um pouco do sol e paisabem relaxando um pouco depois de andar bastante.

É muita escada, joelhos tem que estar bem preparados.

No caminho de volta, fizemos outra parada em Positano à noite, desta vez para experimentar alguns dos restaurantes que não visitamos na noite anterior. E claro, mais Gelato.
