Greetings Hivers,
So this post will be about my visit to DELHI few years back with my brother and my father. My father had a business meeting there so we both siblings went with him . Delhi is about 500Km from our home , so it was a big journey. We started at about 2:00Pm and we entered DELHI at 1:00Am in morning. It took us 13 hours to reach . So we stayed in a hotel near KASHMIRI GATE . My father had a meeting in MODEL TOWEN 3 which is not far from where we were staying.
It was my first and last visit to DELHI .So next morning we woke at 8 in the morning . My father had to go for meeting, so me and my brother planned something for us .
We had heard a lot about RED FORT & INDIA GATE from people , so we decided to go there.
We got ready and from there we took bus to RED FORT .
RED FORT , is also known as "LAL QUILA" is an ancient monument made by mughals in OLD DELHI.
RED FORT was made by SHAH JAHAN in 17 century .It was the main head quater for MUGHALS during their reign in INDIA.
RED FORT is among the most visited place in DELHI. Still the best attraction site .It is also regarded as HERITAGE SITE by UNESCO.
RED FORST has a significance history . The fort has an area of more than 250 acres including parks , garden etc. People from all parts of world come here to see the its amazing architecture .
It took about 30 years to built the RED FORT.
RED FORT has huge walls , sheer design and many more things .Britisher destroyed RED FORT after gaining power from MUGHALS .They changed interior of fort according to their styles.
In order to enter the fort first you to take pass then only you can enter.
As i step in the fort i was stunned to see the pleasing design , attractive architecture. We then went to see other things inside the FORT like HAYAT BAKSH BAGH (which is a garden) , tea house and many other things.
After an hour or so we then came out of the fort and then went to INDIA GATE .
INDIA GATE is a memorial monument in NEW DELHI .It was made in memory of thousands of soldiers who lost their lives during wars. It is one the biggest war memorial monument .
To THE DEAD OF THE INDIAN ARMIES WHO FELL AND ARE HONOURED IN FRANCE , FLANDERS , MESOPOTAMIA AND PERSIA ,EAST AFRICA ,GALLIPOLI AND ELSEWHERE IN THE NEAR AND FAR EAST AND IN SACRED MEMORY ALSO OF THOSE WHOSE NAMES ARE HERE , this is written on the top of the INDIA GATE for the war heroes .
AMAR JYOTI is also established in INDIA GATE . On REPUBLIC DAY ,PRIME MINISTER visit the place and pays the tribute to AMAR JAWAN JYOTI.
We stayed there for half an hour and after that we received a call from father that his meeting was over.
So then we took a metro from there to AZAAD NAGAR MANDI. We reached there in 25 minutes . We went to hotel packed our bags and check out and started our journey back to home.

It was a wonderful experience of visiting DELHI which has a rich history and which also is a COUNTRY CAPITAL. It was 1 day visit but it was worth.
