An adventure that cost me $5000

Today I am telling you about a new experience, a new adventure in my life. This pleasure cost me about 5000 dollars, but when I think about what I experienced, saw and learned, I think it was worth it.

I came to the Belgrade airport, which was named after the greatest scientist of all time, who declared himself a Serb, and that is actually Nikola Tesla, the airport itself is named after him. This was followed by ticket control, luggage handover and then passport control. When I had done all that, I finally got on the plane. I took my seat and soon the plane left the runway, a few moments later the plane started to take off towards the clouds, after about a minute or two we were already above the clouds.

I watched as we moved away from Belgrade, I also had the opportunity to see the beautiful clouds that were all around us. I took a few photos, but believe me, everything was much, much more beautiful in person than it is now in the photos. Since the flight lasted about 4 hours and 30 minutes (I won't tell you where I went yet), I took my headphones and started listening to my favorite songs. The crew immediately started to serve the passengers, then I relaxed with the music. Okay, I admit that I dozed off a bit, when I woke up we were already above the landing strip, and we started to land. About 2 minutes were needed for takeoff and landing. The captain of the plane did it all without fail.

And here I am, I landed in Antalya, it's a region in Turkey. When I got off the plane, I headed to passport control and then to collect my suitcase. When I finished all that, I went out behind the airport and got a shuttle that took me right to my hotel that I had booked. I checked in at the front desk, went to my suite, went to take a shower and was very hungry and very tired. I got to the restaurant where I ate, and if I was very tired, I couldn't help but go to the beach immediately after eating and see where I would go swimming in the sea immediately tomorrow.

And as I planned, as soon as I woke up, I had breakfast and immediately went to the beach. The beach is fantastic, it is phenomenally decorated and everyone is very friendly, I spent almost the whole day enjoying myself completely relaxed on the beach and in the sea.

Antalya is really a beautiful place, where there is a lot to see and experience. Antalya is very famous for olives, and they are one of the largest producers of olive oil, which is made in the best way. So I had to visit a shop that sells premium olive oil. The store is very well designed and I really like how it looks.

Turkey is very famous for its Bazaars, they are huge squares where you can find literally anything you need, there is everything, you can't imagine what can be found here because the space is huge, the area is so big that you have made of stalls. This is really worth experiencing, but you have to be careful not to get lost.

There is a huge mosque in Manavgat-Antalya, it really looked phenomenal from the outside, that's why I decided to go inside and see what it looks like. When I entered, I had a lot to see, the walls were excellently done and it really is a huge building, it took me a long time to go around everything. Fortunately, there were not many people, there were only a few people, mostly tourists like me. That's why I could look around unhindered

Not far from this huge mosque is the magnificent waterfall of the Manavgat River. Nature did a great job and created this magnificent waterfall. A huge number of people come to see this wonder of nature, it was really a huge crowd, everyone wanted to take great selfies with the background of the waterfall. The water is so clean that it is a great feeling watching the water fall down the waterfall which is about 50 meters wide.

When I heard that this was not the only beautiful natural wonder here, I had to go and visit another magnificent waterfall. This is a place like from Hollywood movies, this location is heaven on earth, I like that the nature is so well preserved, where people do not pollute the nature and where strict care is taken not to do so, which if you ask me is a really great decision because it would be a great pity if a person destroys a place like this by trashing it or, God forbid, if a factory is built nearby that would harm such beauty. The height of the waterfall is about 30 meters, you just have to hear that rushing water in person, it's something indescribable. Please note that photographs cannot capture the perfection that you can see with your own eyes. That's why I strongly recommend that you visit these places. Trust me, you will not be disappointed, on the contrary, you will be happy to see something like this.

In addition to the art of nature, I was very interested in visiting something that was made by man and that has a historical story behind it. That's why I headed to the destination Kaleiçi - Old Town, it's a beautiful city that was built about 200 years ago, and you can clearly see that authentic architecture that was typical so many years ago and is very rare today, so no one builds houses like that today. That old town is surrounded by big, thick walls that are from the Middle Ages, but even if they are very old, they have been well preserved for so many years. Most of the houses in that town have now been remodeled for tourist purposes, so now they are all shops, restaurants, cafes... And if it is a whole small town, all traffic is strictly prohibited here, in order to preserve the art of building from decay. , and most of the streets are very narrow so that cars would not even be able to pass. You can buy anything here because you have a large number of shops, and the prices are quite normal, so everyone can buy what they want.

The city is built on the coast of the Mediterranean Sea and when you go to the other end of the city you can see a magnificent view of the sea
when you go down the coast you can see parked ships, boats and yachts, and I can tell you that there are really a lot of strange and beautifully decorated ships.

As a history buff I had to go and visit an outdoor and indoor museum dedicated to finds dating back to ancient Greece, there are many artistic masterpieces to see, as well as what people believed the Greek gods looked like, from the period when the Greeks were pagans and believed in multiple gods. Here is also one of the most revered goddesses of Greece called Nike, as you may already know the popular brand took its name from this goddess who in mythology was born before the new era.

A large amount of pottery that was excavated at that location was also exhibited, as well as the coffins that were preserved, there are a lot of weapons and parts of weapons that were found. What I was surprised about was the jewelry, it is surprising that the jewelry remained so well preserved and that thieves did not steal it in the past, because it is very old and worth a lot.

In the immediate vicinity there is also an amphitheater which is huge and in excellent condition, it is very well preserved, various plays were held there in ancient Greece, the Greeks invented this type of construction because the people in the last row can hear just as well as the people in the first rows

It seems that I'm not the only one who loves history, because there are a lot of tourists here, I talked to the security man who works here to protect this building, he told me that 1000 people come here every day, which is a really large number of visitors in just one day

I headed to perhaps the most popular destination in Antalya, which is the Temple of Apollo, which is located on the coast in an area called Side. The Greeks built it in honor of the god Apollo, who was one of the many gods the ancient Greeks had. The Greeks and the Romans believed that Apollo was the god of music, prophecy, games, the god of truth, that he could heal diseases, but they also believed that he was the god of the sun. They believed that he was the most beautiful, beautifully broken god. That is why they built this temple in his honor, which at the time it was built was perhaps one of the largest at that time. This can be seen because the foundations of the temple have been preserved, and only 5 well-preserved pillars remain. And it is an archaeological miracle that they have been preserved to this day, because the temple was built just a few meters from the sea. And if only five pillars are preserved, they look very beautiful, I can imagine how beautiful the whole temple looked when it existed here. When I think about when it was built, that back then people didn't have machines and did everything by hand, it's something amazing.

The end of my adventure in Antalya is slowly approaching. That's why I have to hurry in order to see everything to the end, but first a little rest. I decided to dedicate the whole day only to the beach and the beautiful clear sea, I think it's time to rest a bit and not just learn something new.

The last touch with history on this adventure was when I went to visit the fortress in Alanya. This fortress was built on a ridge at a height of about 250 meters, the fortress was built first by the Celts and then by the ancient Greeks. The fortress is in excellent condition and if it was first built a long time ago, the reason is because all the peoples who were here maintained it very well for the reason that it is in an excellent position to defend the coast and the port that was there. The last time this fortress was renovated was in the 20th century, when it slowly became a tourist attraction and lost its function as a military facility. in the fortress there is also a beautiful church of St. George from the Byzantine period, which is still in excellent condition today.
