The last day in Ocumare de la Costa we decided to spend it near the posada where we stayed in El Playón, so we only walked a few meters to the boardwalk and the beaches there.
El último día en Ocumare de la Costa decidimos pasarlo cerca de la posada donde nos alojamos en El Playón, así que sólo caminamos unos metros hasta el malecón y las playas de allí.
As we wanted to make the most of the morning, since we had to check out of the room at 2:00 pm, we got up early, had some empanadas for breakfast nearby and before 8:00 in the morning we were already putting our feet in the sand.

El Playón is an extensive beach, with several sectors, when entering from the seawall side, you can see how the breakwater divides it and its names are: El Malecón beach, La Punta, Malibú, Los Curas and Los Cocos. A little further is also La Boca, from where the fishermen leave and the tours to beaches only accessible by sea as La Ciénaga.
El Playón es una playa extensa, con varios sectores, al entrar por el lado del malecón, se puede ver cómo el rompeolas la divide y sus nombres son: playa El Malecón, La Punta, Malibú, Los Curas y Los Cocos. Un poco más allá está también La Boca, desde donde salen los pescadores y los paseos a playas sólo accesibles por mar como La Ciénaga.
As I have been here several times, I told my friend Carol that the best thing to do was to go to the last beach, Los Cocos, which is on the right side. It is the one that in my opinion is more pleasant for swimming, waters with little waves and behind a more natural landscape, without constructions.
Como he venido varias veces, le dije a mi amiga Carol que lo mejor era irnos hasta la última playa, Los Cocos, que está por el lado derecho. Es la que en mi opinión es más agradable para bañarse, aguas con poco oleaje y detrás un paisaje más natural, sin construcciones.
The weather was perfect, an impeccable blue sky, and at Los Cocos beach there were only a couple of people. Anyway, the workers who provide services here were already getting everything ready, as this beach is the closest to most of the inns and hotels in Ocumare de la Costa, it always receives visitors on weekends.
El tiempo estaba perfecto, un cielo azul impecable, y en playa Los Cocos apenas había un par de personas. De todos modos, los trabajadores que prestan servicios acá ya estaban alistando todo, como esta playa es la que está más cerca de la mayoría de posadas y hoteles de Ocumare de la Costa, siempre recibe visitas los fines de semana.
We walked a few meters beyond where the beach begins and found his name written in the sand.

There were many branches and pieces of wood scattered around, I don't know if it rained in previous days and the river brought all this. We cleared a spot in that area and set up our stuff, the sun was still soft, so we didn't worry about having shade. Besides, we were going to stay for about three hours, so that we would have time to take a bath at the inn and return to our homes at noon.
Había muchas ramas y pedazos de madera dispersos por allí, no sé si en días anteriores habrá llovido y el río trajo todo esto. Despejamos un lugar en esa zona y colocamos nuestras cosas, el sol estaba suave aún, así que no nos preocupamos por tener sombra. Además íbamos a quedarnos unas tres horas, para que luego nos diera tiempo de ir a bañarnos en la posada y emprender el regreso a nuestras casas al mediodía.
