Here I am with the last part of my road trip towards Vidiciatico, we had read that our point of arrival here is a cool place with beautiful waterfalls, unfortunately due to the drought we were not able to fully admire the spectacle of the waterfalls but we were there have fun anyway. Vidiciatico is a small town with few inhabitants, a mountain place in the municipality of Lizzanello Belvedere is a very quiet place and often frequented by tourists in the winter season. It is a simple place, with typical mountain houses and many hiking trails. We took a quick walk along the main street and then headed straight to the waterfalls. Before the waterfalls there is also a fascinating park with various works of contemporary art. These waterfalls are very small, not like the nearby Dardagna waterfalls which we were unable to visit due to time constraints. They are waterfalls that can be easily reached from the road and you can see the small park with the works well. Furthermore, they are surrounded by a low wall and a fountain that is said to have very pure water, in fact when we stopped there were many people filling the bottles. The path to reach the waterfalls is not very easy, it is quite steep but short but they are also visible from the surrounding area. It is an excellent place for a relaxing break or to stop for a picnic in the fresh air as it is surrounded by woods and paths that lead into the cool forest. Given the excessive heat, this last stop was really appreciated. I hope the next trip will be in the nearby Corno Alle Scale park, they say it is a large natural area full of beauty, rivers and large waterfalls.
Aquí estoy con la última parte de mi viaje por carretera hacia Vidiciatico, habíamos leído que nuestro punto de llegada aquí es un lugar fresco con hermosas cascadas, lamentablemente debido a la sequía no pudimos admirar completamente el espectáculo de las cascadas pero ¿Se divirtieron allí de todos modos? Vidiciatico es un pequeño pueblo con pocos habitantes, un lugar de montaña en el municipio de Lizzanello Belvedere es un lugar muy tranquilo y muy frecuentado por turistas en la temporada de invierno. Es un lugar sencillo, con casas típicas montañesas y muchas rutas de senderismo. Dimos un paseo rápido por la calle principal y luego nos dirigimos directamente a las cascadas. Delante de las cascadas se encuentra también un fascinante parque con diversas obras de arte contemporáneo. Estas cascadas son muy pequeñas, no como las cercanas cascadas de Dardagna que no pudimos visitar por falta de tiempo. Son cascadas a las que se puede llegar fácilmente desde la carretera y se puede ver bien el pequeño parque con las obras. rodeado por un muro bajo y una fuente que se dice que tiene agua muy pura, de hecho cuando paramos había mucha gente llenando las botellas. El camino para llegar a las cascadas no es muy fácil, es bastante empinado pero corto pero también son visibles desde los alrededores. Es un excelente lugar para un descanso relajante o para hacer un picnic al aire libre, ya que está rodeado de bosques y senderos que se adentran en el fresco bosque. Dado el calor excesivo, se agradeció mucho esta última parada. Espero que el próximo viaje sea en el cercano parque Corno Alle Scale, dicen que es un gran espacio natural lleno de belleza, ríos y grandes cascadas.
