Hello everyone, hope you are well ☺️ Today I come to show you a little bit of the party in the city where I grew up
I nursery in the city of Maia which is in Porto in Portugal. Every year the party takes place in the park that my mother has when we go down to our building.
Since the beginning of the year I no longer live with my mother, I live with my boyfriend but I came to the party for the 10 days that there were.
On the first day of the festival, we always eat bread with chorizo. It's already a tradition at home. These breads are wonderful, but we have to go get them very early because there are queues for hours. If we go at 19:40 we already have a queue of an hour and a half, so I usually go to pick it up around 19
I go get it and we eat at my mother's house because there are never empty tables, everything is always full
Then, as I can never miss it, I went to get some cotton candy. I'm a cotton candy fan. Only I like it so it's everything to me. I gave 3€ for this cotton candy
My mother's birthday is on Maia's holiday, so she didn't go to work. How lucky, this year it fell on a Monday.
I went with my mother to the trailers. She loves trailer dogs. I don't like hot dogs at all so I ordered a hamburger without sauces
Then we went to the party and had to see the craft fair. I love these fairs, they have really cool stuff
Then, as it was my mother's birthday, I bought her a cake without her knowing and she loved it 😃
On Maia's holiday, they always have fireworks and you can even see it from the balcony of my mother's house, but we decided to go down there and see. I even tell my mother as a joke, you're the one who's important, they put on fireworks just because it's your birthday, when I do nobody puts them on 😅
I love to stay on my mother's balcony at night and watch the party. I think it's really cute those lights all on and people walking around. Summer is wonderful
