Hello friends of this wonderful community,
Today, I want to continue sharing about my beautiful vacation in the fantastic city of Paris. As I've mentioned before, it's one of my favorite capitals. If you take a look at my profile, I've already posted two entries about my trip. Despite the crowds, I had wonderful days there.
In particular, in today's post, I'd like to talk about my third day. If I'm not mistaken, it began with a fantastic breakfast at one of the renowned cafes in the Montmartre area of Paris. It's lovely, in my opinion, to have breakfast in these typical cafes. This one, in particular, is named after the historic Two Mills that are located nearby, including the famous Moulin Rouge. The café isn't very large, and I sat outside at the charming tables. I opted for a relatively simple breakfast with coffee, orange juice, and a bit of jam on bread. I didn't want to make myself too heavy with eggs, so I went for a light breakfast, especially because I'll show you where I had lunch later.
One thing to definitely do when visiting a new city or place is to go to these typical local spots, even if they're a bit pricey, just for a breakfast. But you're also paying for the unique atmosphere they provide. This café was founded in 1964 and has been a location for various films, which is why it has become quite famous among tourists from all over the world.
Certainly, if you're traveling to Paris, you can't miss Montmartre. This particular hill has become famous not only for the basilica, which is a church situated atop the hill known for its white dome and staircase that I naturally climbed, but also because this neighborhood has a rich artistic history and continues to attract artists from around the world. In fact, I found someone doing a portrait and several street artists playing different instruments. It's wonderful, in my opinion, to come to this neighborhood. It's very picturesque and charming, especially if you're an art lover. Here, you'll find cozy cafés, artist shops, and winding streets. I think it's one of the most beautiful neighborhoods in Paris, even though I noticed that you have to be a bit cautious due to the risk of pickpocketing. I even witnessed one almost happening live, but I guess it's quite normal given how touristy the area is.
For lunch, as I mentioned earlier, I went to an Italian restaurant called Pink Mamma, located in the Pigalle district of Paris. A friend of mine who had been there a few years ago recommended it. When I arrived, there were already many people there. You have to consider that this restaurant is quite large, spread across multiple floors, but it's known for its enchanting atmosphere. It's highly popular, especially on various social networks, and it's a must-visit spot for many. I had some meat with potatoes for lunch, but before that, I enjoyed a delicious aperitif. It seems to primarily offer Italian cuisine served on beautiful, colorful plates and bowls. I especially recommend going to the upper floor, where there's a beautiful terrace with skylights and stunning furnishings. It has a very distinctive ambiance, which really impressed me since I adore places like that.
Naturally, I saw many Italian dishes being served, somewhat reimagined by the French. For example, one dish that caught my attention and is apparently a highlight of the restaurant is truffle pasta - pasta with truffle and mascarpone. It's something that many Italians might not appreciate.
In the end, I spent a few hours there, and it was almost evening. I wanted to go see the Eiffel Tower at night, as I've heard it's a beautiful sight. However, I was quite tired because I had woken up early, so I returned to the hotel to rest.
Thank you for reading. I hope you found my story interesting. I still have many things to share about Paris since my trip lasted a few more days. I will definitely share more in my next post. See you soon!
