The annual Dagitab Festival, also known as the Festival of Lights, is a source of immense pride for the City of Naga, celebrated with fervor every December. This vibrant event showcases the city's cultural richness and artistic talent, particularly through captivating dance performances presented by various schools across Naga. Drawing inspiration from its name, "dagitab," which translates to "light" in English, the festival dazzles spectators with mesmerizing displays of illumination integrated into the performers' costumes and props. This innovative use of light adds a spectacular dimension to their dance routines, elevating them to a breathtaking and unforgettable experience for all who witness them.

Second of the reason why you should visit this city is because of the stunning boardwalk of the City of Naga, where the serene sea meets the vibrant energy of the city, creating the perfect ambiance for a romantic outing or a peaceful solo retreat. This place is renowned for its breathtaking ocean views, making it an ideal spot to spend quality time with a loved one or simply enjoy some tranquil moments by yourself. Here, visitors can immerse themselves in the serene ambiance while taking in the picturesque vista of the sea, with Bohol Island adding to the scenic backdrop on the horizon. Whether it's a leisurely stroll on a lazy afternoon or a lively gathering on a weekend, the boardwalk attracts people from all walks of life, seeking respite and connection amidst the natural beauty that surrounds them. 3. Pasilong In Naga

Pasilong sa Naga, is one also of those astonishing places here in City of Naga. It is a public park with an investment of P10.5 million, was conceptualized by celebrated Cebuano industrial designer Kenneth Cobonpue in partnership with the local administration of Naga, led by our former Mayor Kristine Chiong.

Named "Finding Shelter in Naga" when translated literally, Pasilong Sa Naga emerges as an architectural gem, adorned with numerous expansive linked rings, elevated pathways, cascading water features like fountains, seating arrangements, and designated rest areas, all nestled within the majestic canopy of towering acacia trees that have adorned the landscape for countless years. This breathtaking oasis was envisioned by the acclaimed designer, Conbonpue, who envisioned the interlocking rings in this structure as a representation of the interconnectedness of life's cycles and nature's harmonious dance of giving and receiving. With its serene ambiance and thoughtful design elements, Pasilong Sa Naga invites visitors to immerse themselves in a tranquil haven where they can pause, reflect, and reconnect with the beauty of the natural world.

City of Naga's bustling food scene offers a plethora of options to tantalize taste buds, with its array of food courts, avenues, parks, stalls, fast-food outlets, and restaurants beckoning food enthusiasts from far and wide. From savoring mouthwatering burgers and crispy fried chicken to indulging in aromatic stews and delectable desserts, there's no shortage of culinary delights to explore. And amidst this culinary cornucopia, my personal favorites are the irresistible allure of crispy French fries and the uniquely satisfying flavor of "isaw", a beloved Filipino street food made from skewered and grilled chicken or pork intestines. These slender, marinated strips of offal are grilled to perfection over hot coals, resulting in a smoky and savory treat that captures the essence of Filipino street food culture.

5. The People Of Naga (Nagahanons)

In this beloved City of Naga, the warmth and hospitality of its residents shine through, making it a place where friendships blossom and bonds deepen. As a proud Nagahanon, I've been fortunate to witness firsthand the genuine camaraderie among Nagahanons, as they embrace their friends from neighboring cities with open arms. The sense of community here is palpable, with locals extending a warm welcome to all who enter their midst. It's heartening to see how natives of Naga are treasured and cherished by those around them, reflecting the deep-rooted values of camaraderie and inclusivity that define the city's culture.

Amidst this backdrop of friendship and camaraderie, I've had the pleasure of forging lifelong bonds with my Nagahanon friends, especially to our squad, the "Our Circle". Our squad is not only characterized by our academic achievements but also by the warmth, kindness, and genuine affection we have for one another. So basically, Nagahanons exemplify warmth and hospitality, as evidenced by the deep bonds formed with friends from neighboring cities. Known for their easygoing nature, fun-loving spirit, and genuine care for others, the people of the City of Naga embrace newcomers with open arms, treating them like family. It's essential to cultivate at least one friendship with a Nagahanon, as they embody the values of inclusivity and camaraderie that define the vibrant community of Naga.
