THE GETAWAY: 📍SUBIC, ZAMBALES

Our Subic getaway is just a segment of my long weekend vacation last year.

MORNING

We woke up early only to find out that we were leaving for Subic on that day. We were getting so excited knowing that this trip was thrilling. So, while we were on the road, we stopped by at the McDonald's drive thru to order our breakfast and just ate while we were on the way.

Two hours had passed and we finally made it to Subic. Our first stop is the Subic Bay. We snapped some photos of it and stared at the nice view of the bay. After that, we stopped at the inflatable pool resort just to have inquiries about that stuff and then left. A few minutes later, we made it to the safari.

AFTERNOON

After we went for a couple of picture takes, we went to eat lunch within the vicinity of the safari. And when our stomachs were full, we walked further into the safari. As we walk through, we encountered many intriguing species such as donkeys, different kinds of birds, monkeys, a unique type of turtles and more and snapped photos of them. After all of these, we went to the crocodiles spot, and saw tourists feed food to the crocodiles by handling long bamboo sticks. It was funny looking at them because they were like statues and they seemed like they were fighting for the food that the tourists fed. Then, after we passed by on the crocodiles, we went outside the safari and saw some more like ostriches. It was my first time seeing them, so I took a video of them for remembrance of course. After ostriches, we went inside the former military base, which is now the safari's collection of dead animals. Although the smell of them was quite unpleasant because of the formalin, at least the view was intriguing. Then, we visited was the lion. It was my first time seeing actual lions but at the same time, they were scary especially when they roar. At the same time, we needed to be quiet because some of the lions were sleeping, and we didn't want them to wake from the noise. The last animal we visited was the tiger. We went inside the safari car and went up to the tiger's vicinity, and I was excited yet nervous at the same time. As the tourist guide fed the tigers with raw meat, they went a bit wild and we shouted and laughed at the same time. So far, this is the most enjoyable and thrilling part of the safari.

After we went out of the safari, we were supposed to go back at the inflatable pool resort, but unfortunately, we didn't have much time left, so we went instead to the mall.

NIGHT

When the night was young, we strolled inside the mall and after a few strolls, we went to dine at one of the restaurants. We were having so fun throughout the day and we didn't feel an ounce of burnout. After our dinner, we went back to Tarlac.
