I haven't put up Christmas decorations this year, except for one secret Santa gift received back from my work days in the office in Erie, Pennsylvania, a cute stuffed snowman, and the handmade plaid Christmas ornament I received from our ornament exchange at the yearly Handmaid's party earlier this month. They sit on my work desk in the bedroom/office. The house is cramped since we got married and Jeff moved his desk and TV into the living room along with the treadmill he bought me last Christmas.
Quite frankly, I've never been big on Christmas decorations or commercialization of the holiday. I think that it takes away from the meaning of Christmas, the birth of my Savior Jesus Christ.
I pray that my family comes to know the God who sent His precious Son to pay the sin penalty of all who will recognize that they are a sinner, confess their sins to Him, ask Him to forgive them, and receive Him into their hearts.
What gift could be more important? Most people who celebrate Christmas don't know the person behind the gifts, the celebration, or the price.
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
John 3:16 KJV
Merry Christmas, My friends. I pray that it's a wonderful Christmas for you all.
