Start 12:46 - BEGIN!

The rock of the boat is like a mother lulling her child to sleep. The door that opens to the balcony is heavy, too heavy to stay open on its own. They do that on purpose, of course. In case of storms, and flooding and all this. But I break the rules, and put the heavy chair in front of the door so it doesn't shut.

I want to hear the ocean. Want to hear it calling to me, over and over, longing for me to come out and greet it. Asking for me to visit. Teasing me to feel its spray and smell the salt and hear the soothing swishing of the sea as it laps against the hull.

It's dark. Everyone is sleeping. I'm not. I'm always awake. The darkness in the middle of the ocean is so thick - it has weight, and texture, and it clings and cloys. I love it. I want to be in it. I creep out of bed, and disguise
the creaks of my steps to match the creaks of the ship. No one will know that I'm sneaking to my secret rendezvous with Poseidon, where he will soak me from head to toe in sensual bliss.

End 12:51!

Well, that was a lot of fun! Hi my sweet friend mariannewest@mariannewest hehehe Did you think I had fallen of the face of the earth? Well, I'm still tethered here. LOL Though- as you can see from my 5 minute prompt, I would love to be floating away on a ship far off the coast where no one can find me. hehehe

I have been challenged by samsmith1971@samsmith1971 to WRITE MORE. hahaha So - I thought, what better way that to jump back in with a quick little 5-minute prompt that never fails to surprise me with how EASY it is to give me a jolt of creativity!

thanks for this - and thanks for always being SO diligent and dedicated to keep these coming! hehehe

The post was written in 5 minutes, but the rest came later! I found a picture and added the personal note to Marianne AFTER the 5 minute freewrite! hehe

This post was an entry for mariannewest@mariannewest's Day 1641: 5-Minute Freewrite for Bliss. If you'd like to join in the fun - you SHOULD! HEHE It is a FANTASTIC way to START writing without any kind of massive, stressful expectation. You just show up - write what you can in 5 minutes, and post it into the community. Go read others to encourage or get tips - or just ease your way in... Whatever! Just enjoy the process of writing for the JOY of it!!!
