Caturday and Alive

Happy Saturday, readers.
Today was a warmer day than the earlier part of the week and, thankfully, no rain darkened the sky. I slept in this morning. I've had issues sleeping for a couple of weeks, so I was glad to get time to sleep.

I got up for a cup of Dunkin coffee I brewed in the Kurig. We use a refillable filter. I like sweetened creamer in my coffee. I read my Bible and did morning devotions in the still of the house. Jeff was gone to help work on the stage for the upcoming Christmas play. Our church puts on a Christmas play each year. One year I would love to act in the play. We are quite a distance from church so it makes practice difficult.

I had a nail appointment at 11:30 a.m. and invited my salon artist, a friend, to lunch since my appointment was her last appointment. The lunch date was a late birthday gift. We ate at our usual restaurant, Perkins. Her sandwich was a Patty Melt which half of the sandwich was uncooked. I requested to have to the sandwich be sent back to finish cooking. They gave her a whole new sandwich, fries, and a banana muffin to make up for the mixup.

We had a nice time. I've spent the afternoon resting up. My sister called and we chatted for some time. We don't get the opportunity to talk much besides through texting. She is not well of late and her mother-in-law and the woman's sister are also not well. This is putting a lot of strain on her husband who works full-time and has three women to take care of.
