So, here I am alive and well.
Hoping that all of you are too- where ever you are and whatever you are doing on this magnificent earth.
So who loves the idea of renewable energy? YOU, YES great!
And who loves the idea that with an unlimited supply of renewable energy, we can finally rid the world of fossil fuel mining and coal fired powers stations? YOU TOO. Great yes!
And who loves the idea that we can harness the naturally occurring power of the sun and the wind to create the fuel to power our lives? You! Awesome yes, me too.
But. BUT have you ever considered just what it takes to get those solar panel made? And what about those massive wind turbines?
I bet no, cause not many people have. MOST people think that if we can have the earth filled with those monstrous turbines, solar panels slung on every roof, then we will have absolutely no need ever again for those fossil fuel mines or the coal fired powers stations.
Except.... then we won't be able to have the iron ore to make the steel to build the wind turbines...
Nor will we have the coal fired power stations to power up those HUGE iron ore processing plants to create the steel to build the wind turbines and the solar panels......
So not to disparage renewable energy technology, NO not at all. Just putting a realistic perspective on it that's all- Helping you JOIN the DOTS.

But it's not all bad news. If you're feeling really disappointed and disallusioned right now and want to give up the fight for a cleaner, healthier earth to leave to your grandchildren, then don't despair!
There are other, less used, but just as viable options out there that we (humans) really have not fully tapped into the potential of right now, atleast not here in Australia cause our government gets far too much spondoolie ($$$$$) stuffed into their back pockets AKA 'owned' by the - as the Screaming Jets aptly sang in 1991, THE FAT, FAT, FAT RICH C$#@!&S......**

So have you even considered the biofuel phenomenon that it slowly making it way around the world, but not yet a household name in power- And I am certainly NOT talking about the biofuel that uses dead animal fat because that would mean killing more animals when we actually want much, MUCH less torturing and murdering of innocent animals.

NOR am I talking about the biofuel feedstock, or biomass as it's also known, that uses the debris that is shave and stripped off trees when they are logged, cause then that would mean cutting down more trees- logging more forests...again, this would defeat the whole purpose of trying to achieve a cleaner, healthier environment and dare I say it, one FREE FROM CLIMATE CHANGE...
And NOR am I talking about the collection of gas by the vilest of methods- FRACKING, which 'SCUMBAG' oops, I mean Scomo or Scummo as I like to call the narcissistic, lying mongrel PM that we have unfortunately got (and as much as he is, he's still nowhere near as deluded as someone who is just about to get TRUMPED....)
Or even Grain- another widely used biomass...grown on lands that could grow food for starving people instead..
So what I am actually talking about is Algae based Biofuel- naturally occurring, found everywhere- even in your dogs water bowl, will power any engine, burn cleanly, has numerous positive by products from flour for baking, to salt, Nutricueticals, vitamins, beer and wine among the many.

AND an Algae cell in itself, is a microscopic air filtration system, suck the toxic carbon dioxide from the air and produces oxygen as a by-product of photosynthesis! HOW FREAKIN AWESOME IS THAT!

There is another type of renewable energy that I like too and that is hydro electric. Water based- not wasting it, but using the flow of it to turn a turbine which in turn powers your house.
There are many large scale hydro-Electric systems around the world but did you know, that with a little bit of effort and some smart thinking, you too could rig up your own to have your own micro hydro, like these guys have done here

And you may think well what do I know, I'm only watching youtube videos, except for the fact that I have a good, old friend living off grid in the rainforest (cause there's NO mains power or anything there anyway, so you have no choice other than to live off grid...) who allowed me to film him while he was showing me the system that he built on his property himself using a small creek just like this one.
And it doesn't just power a light for a while- it posers his whole house and all white goods (fridges/freezers/washing machines) and even his amplifiers, sound system and mixing desk cause he's a big muso too and builds guitars and amplifiers....

Why did I write about this tonight you ask? Well since I heard a few days ago that our dickhead PM is going to build another giant gas FRACKING plant in Australia to 'get the economy rolling again'... this has been on my mind because I know just how seriously bad fracking is for the earth- for us, for the health of our grandchildren.
Now regardless if many of you have turned against anti-fracking activist #JoshFox as reportedly, some of his claims in his documentaries #Gasland and #Gasland2 have supposedly proven to be untrue, as I have personally spoken to and interviewed some farmers from the small community of in Northern NSW and South East Queensland where Australia largest 'food bowl' grows, about the effects that the fracking there has had on their water, their food (our food..) and their health and it's NOT good. So I just wanted to share my knowledge and thoughts with you so you too can become the driver of your future rather than just a passenger on the way to your early death from cancer and all of the other illnesses that these archaic and toxic fuel collection processes are for your health.
