So it's day #60 for me, marking 2 months of my own existence on the #HiveBlockChain as I continue to grow with determination to #thriveOnHive, so I'm mixing it up a bit from now on and making my daily blog more meaningful, significant and supportive to the world at large, as this is the potential that the HiveBlockchain has, and that is to reach out to all corners of the globe to share our passions and purposes in life, whatever they may be and in doing so, create awareness of the issues that are affecting every one on the #HiveBlockChain and in PeakD.
So I'm starting off 2 new #topics on the #Hive tonight, in celebration of my 2 months here and I hope that you will join in too by sharing with us all #MeetMyHero and then ending, with your invitation to everyone else to share theirs by asking #WhoIsYourhero.
For Real Heroes, are not the the characters that we see in comic books, #HollywoodBlockbuster Movies or read about in fictional storybooks. They are the people that we see everywhere every day, selflessly giving up their own lives to donate their time to a cause by volunteering to champion that cause and support it's users.
These extraordinary humans beings are usually behind the scenes, most times completely unseen and always under pressure to find the resources and funding to keep their own work- or the work of their non- profit, charity organisations running.
And I know that over the past 6 months, we have all seen many of them in action. From all of the first responders and medical staff in hospitals and centres all over the world during the pandemic. Then there's been the volunteers that have helped out in many nations of the world, assisting in helping the local people survive from bushfires, floods, drought, earthquakes, Typhoons, wildfires, tsunamis, volcanoes, hurricanes and so many other natural disasters, as well as unnatural disasters such as the explosion in Beirut and deadly viruses in Africa. (I'm sure that I've missed a few keypoints here but you get the picture.)
Whether they scour the local markets for that aging fresh food before its thrown out so they can then cook it up to feed to the homeless on the streets. Whether they hand out blankets, food and water to the people in flood or fire ravaged areas, or they spend 24/7 caring for injured animals.
And to those that put themselves in harms way to save animals and humans- whether they be random acts of kindness performed by individuals on the spur-of-the-moment, or organised groups with their daily mission to protect and save animals, and to the carers- those people, whether they be family or volunteers who give up their time to take care of the elderly, sick or otherwise disadvantaged in their communities.
These are the people that put the UNITY into Community. And these are the people that I want to recognise on a global scale and say thank you to. I hope that you will join me in thanking them too by sharing with us all here on the #HiveBlockChain #WhoIsYourHero and #MeetMyHero.
In my blog last night I introduced you to one of my #heroes #DamianMander and the #InternationalAntiPoachingfoundation. here @chocolatescorpi/day-59-and-here-i-am-on-time-to-say-hi-to-all-og-you-amazing-peple-on-the-hive who gave up everything in Australia to move to Africa to train the park rangers to protect and save the Elephants and Rhinos from poaching- all living 24/7 in imminent danger of attacks from the armed gangs of poachers.
So tonight on the #Birth of these brand new #Topics on the #BlockChain, I'd like to introduce you to Gill And John Dalley from #SoiDogs in #Thailand who have dedicated years and thousands of dollars their own money to help the streets dogs of #Phuket and #Thailand after relocating from the #UK.
Theirs is a story of danger, compassion, endurance, survival, grit and determination aswell as a devastating bacterial infection that took both of Gills legs after she threw herself into a lake to save a dog.
