So, last Saturday we had our hangout as usual, and it was just so much fun we did not want it to end. We are currently on the second topic for this week which is “ORGAN DONATION IS A MUST”.
But before we proceed with the details of the topic, let us take a look at the winners of the last topic which was “AM I ADOPTED?”.
This topic was geared toward each member of the community telling us about their reactions if they were ever to find out that they were adopted. This would be a major revelation for them and could change the way they viewed themselves as individuals.
We got to see how people will take the news. Some would be quite appreciative of their adoptive parents because adoption is intentional and it tells that the child was wanted. However, the reaction to their biological parents varies because the circumstances leading to their adoption will determine how they take the news.
For this topic, we went through every entry post, and that is every post with the #hl-exclusive & #hl-w135e1 tag. And with the number of wonderful posts out there it was quite difficult to make a selection. But eventually, we did just that. This author told us that the first feelings he would get upon discovering that he was adopted would be feelings of sadness and he would also be upset. In the end, he would be willing to forgive his parents because they had already raised him and given their best to make sure that he became something worthwhile in life.

For this author, he told us that finding out that he’s adopted would definitely make him feel like an outsider. Although it will raise a number of questions, but nothing will make him angry at his family. He won’t hold grudges against them either but would be grateful for all the love and care that he got from his adoptive parents.

For this author, he tells us that being adopted won’t change how he feels about his family. All that matters is love, and as long as that is available, blood ties won’t be all that important. The bond between family, that which holds them together is what is most important. It’s way more important than blood.
