So, last Saturday we had our hangout as usual, and it was just so much fun we did not want it to end. We are currently on the third topic for this week which is “A CELEB I STAN”.
But before we proceed with the details of the topic, let us take a look at the winners of the last topic which was “JUST ANOTHER CONSPIRACY THEORY”.
This topic was geared toward each member of the community telling us about their experiences with conspiracy theories and how it affected the way they lived their lives and approached certain subjects. Conspiracy theories are something that one will always come across, no matter what.
We got to see the outlandish ideas many of us believed as kids and how we were able to eventually stop believing in them. There are still theories that are still believed today, and even in the future, more will come. It was an enlightening topic indeed.
For this topic, we went through every entry post, and that is every post with the #hl-exclusive & #hl-w131e2 tag. And with the number of wonderful posts out there it was quite difficult to make a selection. But eventually, we did just that. This author told us about the major conspiracy theories that surrounded the Covid-19 pandemic of 2020 and how it made him doubt it’s authenticity. Thankfully, he was able to eventually understand the dangers of the virus and also take necessary precautions.
THE ROOSEVELT ACCIDENT AND THE SUPPOSED ALIEN AUTOPSY by @gwajnberg
For this author, he told us about the infamous Roosevelt accident and the alien autopsy that shook the world at its time and convinced a lot of people about the existence of aliens. Of course, it was all debunked years later, however, it was a hot topic of discussion for a long time with so many people debating if it was real or not.
WHO HAS NEVER BELIEVED IN CONSPIRACY THEORIES @shiftrox
For this author, he shared with us how he was once a firm believer of the flat earth theory and he also saw the idea that man landed on the moon in 1969 as just another conspiracy theory. However, with the internet, it’s easier to vet the information that we get and also conduct our research, which is something he does regularly.
