Spaghetti Bolognese

Spaghetti Bolognese recipe is invented by Alberto Alvisi and originated in Imola, a city that sits just west of Bologna. It is typically made with beef mince in the starting but later on we all used to make and transform it in our own ways. This is how I changed a bit by using mutton mince and some Italian seasoning.

Let's get started with recipe:

⚡️ Ingredients:

NameQuantity
Mutton Mince1/2kg
Spaghetti400gm
Chopped Onion1PC
Black Pepper1tbsp
Chopped Garlic1tbsp
Saltto taste
Worcestershire Sauce1tbsp
Oregano1tsp
Parsley1/4cup
Tomato Purée1/4 cup
Tomato Paste3-4tbsp
Water1cup
Oil2tbsp

Method:

First off, cut the ingredients which needs to put in the dish while making. So better to prepare beforehand. I chopped onion, garlic, and parsley here.

Gather other ingredients from the fridge and put in front of you so it can help you while cooking. Don't rush just prep everything before ahead.

Take a large sized fry pan, add 2tbsp oil along with chopped onion to sauté well

Now add chopped garlic too and sauté together very well

I used mutton mince here while beef mince is recommended to make this dish but choice is yours. Any type of meat can be used here. Add mince and cook until light golden brown colour.

Now add salt to taste. I used 1tbsp here.

IMG_4378.jpg

Add freshly grounded black pepper and mix it while you can use red pepper too.

Add tomato purée here

IMG_4381.JPG

Add oregano leaves as per your preferences. Thyme could be used over here.

IMG_4383.jpg

Now add chopped parsley to the mince and mix altogether very well

IMG_4384.jpg

Add 1tbsp Worcestershire Sauce but if you don't have this sauce available then use plain soy sauce.

IMG_4385.jpg

Add 3-4tbsp tomato paste which is a key ingredient to this dish because it gives a very nice reddish colour to the mince. It is MUST

IMG_4388.jpg

Now add water at leats 1 cup or as needed so the raw mince could cook very well then leave it on medium flame until the water reduced completely.

Meanwhile boil spaghetti and prepare the serving plate. Place the boiled spaghetti on the surface of the plate as the first layer then add the prepared sauce on top of it. Sprinkle some cheddar cheese and serve hot as it it..
