The Coffee Shop Prompt Week 71: a coffee with my favorite person.

I have measured my life in coffee spoons. (T.S. Eliot).

I am from Cumaná, this is Sucre, Venezuela, here I was born, here I grew up and here I had my son, Andrés Manuel. It is not a very big city, perhaps that is why it is easy to get to know the vast majority of its places, and if you like coffee, you know where to go. A few years ago Café con Bracamonte opened in this area. Bracamonte is a Cumanese journalist and entrepreneur who has a radio program of the same name.

The cafe is located in front of Plaza Pichincha, it is a cool area, very busy, you could say it is in the center of the city. It is where the Government and its dependencies are located; not all, but most.

Café con Bracamonte, initially, began as a cafeteria; But then his menu expanded towards other proposals and now offers breakfasts and lunches. His menu is quite extensive and attractive, for a wide variety of tastes.

It is the second time I visit this place. The first time was a long time ago. Now, when I should write about my favorite person, to drink my favorite drink. I didn't even think about it...I went with Andrés. We gave ourselves that space to do something different and the truth is…yes it was different and enjoyable.

The cafe has two spaces, one outdoors and the other in air conditioning. But they are not completely divided, they are semi-open

The outside allows you to watch the movement of the street and the people, in addition to enjoying the breeze. Inside it is calmer and quieter. Both spaces are ideal for talking and sitting for a while to meditate or read the book on duty.

In reality, this cafeteria is made up of two locations, one is exclusive for coffee and the other is where the meals are processed; In both there are tables and chairs in front, very comfortable and spacious.

As it was midday, in addition to having coffee, we decided to eat some Cumanese empanadas, one of those that have no competition. In Cumaná the empanada is very popular, they sell it in many places. Their fillings are very varied, for all tastes, I ordered shredded meat and Andrés, chicken.

The coffee.

We decided on Frappuccinos. Cold coffee is usually not what we drink the most; but the moment was given. So after reading the letter the decision was more than correct, because they were perfect. Sweet, in just the right amount, very slushy and the cookie crispy, fresh and new.

The environment.

Carefully arranged, it is a small place but with great details, as can be seen in the photographs. Clean. With a pleasant musical background that allows for effortless conversation. The lighting is discreet, soft, which makes the place warm.

Cumaná is a city that keeps many stories. Café con Bracamonte is a meeting place with them. This iconography tells us about very beloved characters in the city, most of whom are already part of that physically absent heritage; but present in the memory of the Cumanese.

The attention is very pleasant. People who understand and listen to you. They explain what the cafe offers. They apologize for the delays and provide you with options and solutions for your requirements.

I'm telling you about Andrés, my son, definitely my favorite person.

I have an only son. We have lived alone at home for more than seven years. We have built a very real and healthy relationship, in the sense that we have had disagreements that we have known how to handle. Thus, we have come to know each other and accept our differences. We frequently share moments like these, and we always look for places, especially cafes, where we haven't been.

After sharing this ideal moment, we went to buy some things for the house. This has been a welcome experience, so we start the week with good spirits and disposition. Thanks also to @ for these exploration opportunities.

You can visit the Café con Bracamonte networks on the networks and if you can visit it, we highly recommend it.
