Hello everybody on HIVE and especially those on the Hive South Africa Community!
I am one of @zakludick's new students on HIVE... I joined HIVE in mid-April 2022, and since then I have been able to reach 1100HP, and hopefully this is just the beginning! I am lucky in that music (mainly acoustic guitar and vocals but I mess around on whatever else I can find...) is one of my main hobbies, and between the "HIVE Open Mic" and "Three Tunes Tuesday" challenges, I'm basically locked into some making a couple of posts every week consistently. I'm noticing that my ability to learn new songs, and my general musical skills are improving as a result which is great and lots of fun!
@zakludick has been a wonderful mentor to me on my HIVE journey, answering all of my questions. He has also been a great mentor to many other South African newbies on HIVE, such as @clairemobey, @lex-zaiya, @pixelhuntersam, @stevemuis, @loadreaper and @michieme , and I know both he and I would love to see them all grow into minnows and beyond before 2022 is over!
So, I have had an idea for one more music-performance related post per week, where I ask for cover requests, and then in the next post I attempt the winning cover request in the previous comments section - starting with the comments section of this very post. My plan is to share the performance of the winning cover on the Music Community on Thursdays, and then to share 50% of the post rewards with the account that made the winning cover request.
