Sooji Idli Recipe!

Soooji Idli is a variation of the tradition rice Idli. This is instant recipe for Idli, rich in vegetables and very light. It is a very healthy recipe for breakfast. I add veggies of my choice, one can customise the add ons as per choice. Let’s see how we make it.

Ingredients

Rava 200 gms,

curd, water,

chopped onion,

grated carrot,

chopped capsicum,

chopped coriander leaves,

mustard seeds,

curry leaves,

salt,

turmeric powder

Recipe

Step 1: heat 2 tbsp oil in a pan. Add mustard seeds and allow them to crackle. Add curry leaves now.

Step 2: add chopped onion and let it turn brown. Now add grated carrot and chopped capsicum to the pan and allow it to cook for 5-7 minutes.

Step 3: add salt and turmeric powder and mix well.

Step 4: now add the suji and let it roast on slow flame.

Step 5: turn off the flame and allow the mix to cool.

Step 6: add curd and water to the cooled off mix to form a fine consistency.

Step 7: cook the idlis in Idli container in microwave for 4 minutes.

Step 8: serve hot with sambhar and coconut chutney.
