Nowadays, weight gain has become a common problem that affects people of all ages. Due to busy routines, unhealthy eating habits, and lack of physical activity, many health problems are increasing in our lives.
Weight loss is not very difficult. We just need proper planning, some discipline, and better daily habits. If we control our diet and make regular walking or exercise part of our routine, we can naturally lose weight and live a healthy life.
My Story of Weight Loss
I would like to share something about myself. I used to be very overweight. My weight was 87 kg and my height is 172 cm.
One day, one of my friends, who saw me after a very long time, said to me, “You have become so overweight, why don’t you take care of yourself?” That same day, I decided to start thinking seriously about weight loss.
When a person makes a strong decision, nothing can stop them from achieving success. I also made up my mind and started my journey.
First of all, I started controlling my diet.
Breakfast:
Usually, I ate one chicken sandwich with one cup of tea. Sometimes, I ate eggs without bread, cooked with tomatoes and some vegetables. Other times, I had two fried eggs with two slices of bread.
Eggs are very important because they contain protein, so I always tried to cook them in different styles to avoid getting bored.
Lunch:
I usually ate only yogurt.
Dinner:
Whatever was cooked at home, I ate it with just one chapati.
I also walked for 30 minutes every day. On the treadmill, after every 5 minutes of walking, I ran for 2 minutes.
After one week, when I checked my weight, I had lost 1 kg. This was very motivational for me, so I continued my diet and daily walks. Every week, I saw my weight slowly going down, and I felt very happy.
Sometimes, if I had to go out for dinner, I would not eat anything all day except coffee, and then I enjoyed dinner at night.
In between, I also had cravings for sweets because I am a sweet lover. So, I used to freeze two bananas and then blend them to make a healthy ice cream.
I drank a lot of water and ate plenty of salad because I did not want my skin or face to look unhealthy.
In just 3 months, I lost 10 kg. Now, whenever someone sees me, they always ask the same question: “How did you become so slim?” I can now wear my favorite clothes, and I feel much more confident.
I am thankful that one sentence from my friend gave me the motivation to change myself. I am sharing this with all of you so that you may also feel motivated and start taking care of your health.
