Today is time to be grateful for the bread we have on our table, after this hard year (at least for me).
Hoy es momento de agradecer por el pan que tenemos en nuestra mesa, después de este año tan duro (al menos para mí).
As you can see, today I dedicated my day to preparing bread, it is actually the bread that is served at Christmas Eve dinner, but I went ahead to do it today Friday because I will be very busy tomorrow and the day after tomorrow.
In my house we usually eat ham bread, so this is what I am preparing, it is hard work to make bread especially because it takes a long time, we must always let the dough rest, the kneading times are also long, this is not a recipe not even a step by step, it's just a small summary of my day making bread with some photos.
Como ven hoy dediqué mi día para preparar pan, en realidad es el pan que se sirve en la cena de la víspera de navidad, pero me adelanté para hacerlo hoy viernes porque estaré muy ocupada mañana y pasado mañana.
En mi casa se suele comer pan de jamón, así que esto es lo que estoy preparando, es un arduo trabajo hacer pan sobretodo porque se demora mucho, siempre debemos dejar reposar la masa, también los tiempos de amasados son largos, esta no es una receta ni un paso a paso, solo es un pequeño resumen de mi día haciendo pan con algunas fotos.
Everything was well measured, I had enough to make two breads but I didn't have enough ham, so I only made one traditional bread and another with garlic and cheese and cut it into pieces.
Todo estaba bien medido, me salieron para hacer dos panes pero no tenía la cantidad suficiente de jamón, así que solamente hice uno tradicional y otro lo hice de ajo con queso y lo corte en trozos.
The end result was something glorious. There is always an occasion to be grateful for our lives and for what the earth provides us. Bless, Lord, these foods that through your goodness we are going to eat and do not forget the hands that have prepared it.
El resultado final fue algo glorioso. Siempre hay una ocasión para agradecer por nuestra vida y por lo que la tierra nos provee. Bendice, señor estos alimentos que por tu bondad vamos a tomar y no te olvides de las manos que lo han preparado.
