Travel Day, Psychotic Insane Wind, Called Great Sky Country For A Reason, Sore - Thursday

b>I woke to rain yesterday morning but it was gone after a couple hours. The winds that followed it though were pretty damned intense. It was the flats of North Dakota where there is nothing to stop the winds.

We managed to get the truck packed and all of us ready to go by 9:30. I felt like absolute hell from not drinking enough water the day before so I was nauseous and a bit shaky for the first couple hours of the drive. We got near Williston and I was beginning to feel better.

Got stopped by the train but thankfully it was a faster moving one and I was able to bust around a line of vehicles at the gate.

Eastern Montana was like being in a wind tunnel, only the wind was from the side. It was gusting 40+ at times and the truck was getting rocked hard. The clouds were building up pretty well all across the horizon, the VAST WIDE horizon.

That's the Crazy Mtns there that were getting douched with snow. The peaks all along the north side of Yellowstone are still well loaded in snow. Due to the wind which became a headwind I had to stop for gas a bit more often.

We made pretty good time and were to our hotel about 5pm. We then went and picked up the Blackstone grill that we ordered for pickup here in Bozeman since the stores around Spokane didn't have it in stock. We got back to the hotel then walked next door for dinner at the Mexican Fiesta restaurant.

I was super tired and sore but decided to drive the mile and a half to MAP brewing to buy a couple six packs of beer to take home with us. I had to make sure to be there before they closed.

This morning we head to the Bozeman Hotsprings before we head for home, glorious wonderful home.
