Oh man, let me tell you what... This is some of the best meat I have eaten in a long time! Not just because I took the deer, but it's because it's natural meat, unlike the hormone filled dyed stuff you are getting from the grocery store. Now not everyone like venison, because if you don't cook it right it can be a bit gamey.

I used some applewood mesquite maranade that I made with some extra virgin olive oil, water, and some rice vinegar (only because I didn't have apple cider vinegar to use) and the applewood seasoning. Let that sit for a while while the sweet potatoes were cooking and then threw them in the cast iron skillet!

Simple and easy, and damn if it doesn't make you want to slap your momma! Not really, that's just an old southern saying, haha when the food is great, lol.

Anyway, I am really enjoying this deer meat and looking forward to trying some more cooking methods with it! Gotta make some jerky, that's for sure!

Anyway, dinner time! Hope you all have a great Sunday!

Be Cool, Be Real, and always Abide my dudes!
