Quiero compartir con ustedes una tertulia a la cual asistí hace unos días con motivo de la lucha contra el cáncer de mamá, este tipo de eventos mayormente se realiza en el mes de octubre ya que este mes fue considerado por la Organización Mundial de la Salud el Mes de la Sensibilización sobre el Cáncer de Mama o Mes Rosa desde hace varios años.
I want to share with you a gathering that I attended a few days ago on the occasion of the fight against breast cancer, this type of event is mostly held in the month of October since this month was considered by the World Health Organization the Breast Cancer Awareness Month or Pink Month for several years.
Octubre se viste de rosa en todo el mundo para aumentar el efecto multiplicador de los mensajes para hacerle frente a la enfermedad. En este mes se difunde de forma masiva a través de organizaciones mensajes que contribuyan a llamar la atención sobre el tema.

En mi caso particular, asistí a una tertulia donde se abordaron las experiencias de tres valientes mujeres que ya superaron esta enfermedad y nos comentaron acerca de sus experiencias y de la importancia de la detección precoz, el tratamiento y cuidados que se deben tener.
In my particular case, I attended a gathering where the experiences of three brave women who have already overcome this disease were addressed and they told us about their experiences and the importance of early detection, treatment and care that should be taken.
En el evento entregaron unos lazos rosados, con este se símbolo se representa la lucha contra el cáncer de mama.
At the event, they delivered some pink ribbons, with this symbol the fight against breast cancer is represented.
Lo que resaltaron estas valientes mujeres fue que, tanto en el Mes Rosa como en el resto del año, prevenir es la clave. Así que tócate y realízate tus exámenes periódicamente.
What these brave women highlighted was that, both in the Pink Month and in the rest of the year, prevention is the key. So touch yourself and take your exams periodically.
