It's nice to just "be" in that moment...

The last glimpse as we drove away...

These photos were taken years ago in Auckland. We were on our way to a holiday resort when we decided to have a quick stopover by the seashore for a short break. Our driver was in for a wee adventure by the beach and we were too.

We arrived there at around 9:30 in the morning and there were a few people around. Some just sitting by the benches and a few walking along the seashore.

The place is called Orewa Beach in the Whangaparaoa Peninsula which is about half an hour drive away from the City's business district. It's a stretchy, 3 kilometer-long beach which, according to my friends, is one of the finest in the area and I understood why. In fact, if we were not going to another place, I would have suggested we'd stay and bask in the sun while enjoying that magnificence before us.

The beach is breathtaking but my captured photos don't really give justice to how beautiful it is :)
