As if my blog page isn't black and white enough from all my Zingtober entries, I decided to go on a photowalk last night for my entry to the #monomad challenge, lol. Now, my blog looks like an old-school newspaper where they only used black ink to print the pages. I guess it'll stay like this for the whole of October, so bear with me! I promise that come November, my blog will be filled with color again.
I suppose I just miss going on longer photography sessions since I've been spending more time in front of my laptop, iPad, and desktop at work. Naturally, I feel more energetic when I do outdoor activities, rather than sitting for too long. So, I used that as motivation to take a longer walk through the city last night.
I've been contributing more in recent weeks because it’s a great way to practice my photography and connect with the awesome people in the Black and White community. There are some seriously talented photographers there, sharing high-quality images on the platform. There’s definitely a buzz in that community that everyone should check out.
Last night, I mostly photographed architectural buildings. The city is filled with modern high-rises and traditional shophouses, both of which fascinate me and inspire me to document them during my walks.
It was already late, and the sky had that deep astro blue tone, making it a dark backdrop for the clouds. It’s amazing how the clouds remain visible even at night, which added some extra interest to the shots.
To wrap things up, it’s been refreshing to get back out there and capture the beauty of the city through my lens, especially in black and white. October might be a monochromatic journey for my blog, but I’m enjoying the creative challenge and the connections I’m building along the way. Stay tuned for more, and I promise the colors will return soon!
