I finally finished my last class for tonight. Since it's Friday, I usually finish an hour or so earlier than my usual schedule. For some reasons, I just want to hang around the living room and do random stuff. Just like this time, I brought my lappy with me and decided to share something I made a while ago... then, I'd probably play some Mobile Legends as I haven't played for a while now.
Anyway, one of my students earlier was absent. I'm an online English teacher and our classes usually last for 25 minutes. If the student doesn't show up in 15 minutes, then they're considered absent. Usually, students can cancel the lesson themselves or just wait for the time (15 minutes) for their class to be automatically cancelled.
I was waiting for my student then. I thought he was just late, but around 5 minutes in, I decided to get my sketchbook and scribble something... and here's what happened!
I was checking my previous post and decided to sketch my portrait from my younger years. I did the pencil and pen sketch while monitoring the lesson room because there was still a possibility for my student to join the class.
I originally just wanted this to be a quick pen sketch... but after 10 minutes, the lesson room closed, so I sat on my bed near my art corner, so I can easily get some coloring materials. I used the remaining 10 minutes or so to color the whole sketch using marker pens as well as some colored pencils.
Yaaaay! It's been a while since I actually sketched or drew something. It took me around 20 minutes or so, but I'm quite satisfied with how it turned out.
I posted this on Facebook earlier and my friends from high school commented that they remember the reference picture for this drawing. haha My house when I was in high school (countryside) was the "hangout place" of among my friends, and this picture was displayed by my mama that time. hahaha
We didn't display it when we moved here in the city, so my friends here haven't really seen the original picture. It's just fun and great to know that my high school friends from the countryside remembers it. My closest friend from that time even said that she actually has a copy of it. I couldn't even remember that. Waaaaa~
Anyway, I'm glad to be able to draw even just a quick one today. It was refreshing. If I'm not too busy with other stuff, I'd sit down and draw or paint again soon. <3
Thanks for checking this post out! Until next time! :)
