December 2nd, 2022Β Β Β This week's raffle came out all male, but not by design. the raffle is a digitally randomized drawing as always. A local cell phone tower was damaged by a storm, putting our 4G modem out of service, and in the process, our only way to access Hive in our remote location here in the Cardamom Mountains of Cambodia. I drove 30km away today to a different cell phone tower coverage area and did my curation work there.
Β Β Β I returned home this evening when I got a call from my wife letting me know the tower was repaired and 4G service had been restored. I'm still playing catch-up at the moment, but hopefully there will be no more technical issues this week. @rosmadirazali bumped up his delegation to 425 HP this week and @amayphin jumped from BRONZE to SILVER with a fresh 100 HP delegation upgrade. Also, @janesuiren became a member with a 25 HP delegation and a lot of genuine engagement in the community.

How The VIP Delegator Raffle Works
Β Β Β Every raffle I tally the total HP delegated to the @asean.hive curation account, and one raffle ticket is allocated for each HP delegated by you ASEAN Hivers (excluding [me] @justinparke, @srey-yuu, @sakana & @sreypov), with a minimum delegation of 50 HP to be eligible for the ASEAN Hive VIP π₯ BRONZE Raffle.
Β Β Β There are five separate raffles, one for each VIP tier, and each tier's prize is a post beneficiary status equivalent to the tier's total percentage of raffle tickets allocated. This means the percentages of each tier's share of the prize is fluid, and I think it makes the raffle more fun and fairer.
Β Β Β This week's total effective HP is 112,406, and total delegated HP is 105,103 HP (72,206 HP minus ASEAN team member delegations & delegations under 50 HP), so I plugged the numbers into my Raffle Picker iOS app, selected "pick winners," and the results were instantly and randomly calculated.
