Becoming one with the desert | Horizon Forbidden West | Episode 15

Today is rather different from the usuals, no main missions. Only poking around the desert areas, working on our skill tree, discovering more secrets, and completing a Cauldron! And again, I would like to mention I am very much annoyed by repeating content, but fortunately, I am not spotting much repeating gameplay in this game so far! The game mechanics are puzzling from time to time; the cauldrons are not even the same, with different challenges and dynamics. Also, if you are tired of facing the same type of machine every time, I suggest trying out different variations each time to find the most optimal path to take out any machine! It would help keep your mind fresh and make the fights more interesting!

In today's episode, we started with the base and just realized we have unlocked "The Strike board game in the home base; I was surprised to see my opponent already have an advantage over me as he tends to have more overpowered pieces which can move around the board more freely and deal a lot more damage that I can think of! I still have a lot more to understand about this board game. Also, I would like to admit that I am not very fond of these types of games so far. I'm no fun if a circle of friends is playing card games. Most of the time, I sit around like I don't understand anything! Well, we lost all the strike games; good thing you don't lose anything while playing strike 💀.

While traveling through the desert, I realized upgrading the weapons is the way to go for any machine. Hunting becomes easier as you can deal much more damage by removing different parts of the machine. Also, we had to repair a tall neck today, but to my stupidity, I was trying to take the tall neck down using my pullcaster 🤦🏻‍♂️. Later realized there is a harpoons setup around the pace which you can use to bring down the big guy! If you are on this quest, don't be stupid like me 💀 In the desert, we helped some Oseram people clear up a tunnel with a rockbreaker. Regardless it was an easy fight as the rockbreaker was vulnerable to chillwater; we did him dirty! The views around the desert, I must tell you! There is a lake around the bottom side of the desert area. It's mesmerizing; I mean, take a look at this photo below; I don't need to explain any further... I would love to spend my summer around this lake, hands down! It's beautiful how they have laid out everything! The secret underwater locations are quite fun and big; you can expect loot in different underwater locations. If you have managed to grab Posiden, you would have the exclusive mask to dive deep underwater and explore any locations as much as you need! And there are some annoying spotter machines I hate the most they scream like crazy I would silence them first before anything else!

Now moving on to the Cauldron, this was a totally unexpected experience. The design of the Cauldron was different from the usual. We couldn't find an entrance to the Cauldron IOTA. The gate was shielded shut with metal blades; it Almost looked like it would open up to release big boy-sized machines! Really aesthetic way of designing a cauldron like this one, with big forging machines all around the place and different small machines guarding most of the area. We had to clear up some jammed machine parts to get the Cauldron back in function! Voila! If you watch my gameplay, you would understand the rest; why did I say it was totally a different experience, or I would suggest you play it yourself and see the beauty with your own eyes 😉
