Calobre, Veraguas: A Natural Refuge Between Mountains, Forests and Hot Springs

When we choose Calobre it is to relax. This hot city in Veraguas, surrounded by forests and mountains, is ideal for walking for long hours around its surroundings and bathing in its rivers and lakes.

We are next to the La Yeguada Forest Reserve, which is one of the visits that interests us the most. The lands of La Yeguada and Chitra are high and the temperatures are very good for camping and fishing near the large lagoon. We will find, among other things, several waterfalls as well as hot springs and above all we will see the La Yeguada volcano that last erupted three centuries ago. From here we can go to the Media Luna Volcano and the Potrero Hot Springs and we will approach the central mountain range where we will see, between its high mountains and steep cliffs, the amazing birth of many of the rivers that flow into the Atlantic and Pacific oceans.

In Calobre we find some cafes and stalls where we can eat something on the way but we will have to go quite far to find a restaurant. It is in the city of Santiago where the Cafetería Aire Libre is located, very famous in the area, on Calle 7 and Avenida Central. Although we will most likely end up choosing what nature offers us again.
