The Woman, Mental Health and the Challenges for this March 8, 2024 -Recognizing Creators in Healthy Woman Thursday-
Since 1977, when the United Nations declared March 8 International Women's Day, progress has been slow in terms of gender equality.
According to this organization, no country, at present, can claim to have achieved this equality.
However, the celebration of this March 8 is a reminder that the struggle has been going on for a whole year and that the demand for women's rights, which has been going on for many decades, must be accelerated.
At Healthy Woman we recognize the work of the women in our community and all the content creators who fight for a healthy and correct integration, who publish and send comments; for them, our respect and affection.
There is still much to fight for
Accelerating equality for women, is the proposal for 2024 of the United Nations Organization; and it is a struggle for human rights to achieve this equality.
But there are still funding problems, because we have economic and global challenges, and because there are still difficulties to understand culturally, everything related to equality.
The UN has proposed to end poverty, to finance, through public spending in different countries, various organizations and activities to achieve gender equality and transform the mentality of citizens.
This is quite difficult at the moment, because the world also has to fight against material damage to the ecosystem, as well as poverty, violence and labor inequality, among other difficulties we face.
And it may be that gender equality can be seen as something that has already happened; which is incorrect.
We continue to observe a sexist society, where women earn less and there are no equal labor rights, where domestic employees do not have their work legislated and we still observe problems of male violence, co-responsibility and lack of conciliation, among many other challenges.
New important issues to be addressed in our community
But we live in a modernity governed by globalization and constant universal information, so that women's issues have acquired other dimensions.
Thus we have, for example, the problem of employment and entrepreneurship at the female level and its valuation in economic spaces.
Likewise, women in the network, their representation and valuation, and equality policies at the corporate level.
All these issues must be addressed at this time because we need, in order to face so many global difficulties, not only the male hand, as it has been pretended to be seen, but also the hand of all.
And women, in this sense, have demonstrated coherence, persistence, organizational capacity, sensitivity and effectiveness in carrying out the necessary activities to lead any organization, even any country.
The challenges in health
Now, in our Healthy Woman Column, we want to express our great struggles at the level of women's spaces.
Struggles such as achieving healthy and cared aging, achieving eating patterns that help increase life expectancy and also digital literacy for good female mental health.
So, learning to incorporate information and communications technology to prevent and help with cognitive disorders not only helps to strengthen one gender, but all of humanity.
And I personally believe that one of the issues that we are going to address this year in our column has to do with the visibility and real appreciation of the menopausal stage of women.
Regardless of all the alleged pathologies that women suffer from here, this is a beneficial stage and is part of the incredible biological life process that they live.
It is true, the issues are many, but the desire to evaluate them, study them and nurture possible solutions is equally great in our community.
Assessing mental health stigmas for women
In my recent publication: Women, Mental Health Stigmas and We, the Content Creators -In Healthy Woman-, of our column; we evidenced how mental health influences women differently than men.
Statistically, women face difficult situations; and if we do not achieve equality, they will not be properly attended.
It is important here to thank our users for their comments, specifically I have chosen three of them: @osomar357 and @cetb2008, who are clear, coherent and important users of our @Womentribe and @belkyscabrera.
They, all of them, have contributed their grains of sand so that Mental Health at the level of our column and our community can be taken as a priority and necessary.
