Hello Splinterlands friends, another week has passed and I’m here to talk to you about new cards I’ve been acquiring in the game, which I’m testing to see if they are truly interesting for my game strategy.
This time, I’m going to talk about Frigid Wolf, one of the new cards we can get thanks to Splinterlands rewards.
Let's begin with the card analysis.
Hola amigos de Splinterlands, una semana más voy a hablaros de nuevas cartas que voy adquiriendo en el juego y que pongo a prueba para comprobar si son realmente interesantes en mi estrategia de juego.
En esta ocasión voy a hablaros de Frigid Wolf una de las nuevas cartas que podemos conseguir gracias a las recompensas de Splinterlands.
Empecemos con el análisis de la carta.
FRIGID WOLF
In this new collection of Rewards cards, we’ve come across legendary cards with a cost of 1. Legendary cards with a cost of 1 have only appeared in the Dice edition of the game, giving us an idea of how important these cards could become.
Each element will have one of these cards. Today, I’m going to talk about the card from the Life element, the one I’ve managed to acquire.
En esta nueva colección de cartas Rewards nos hemos encontrado con cartas legendarias de coste 1. Cartas legendarias de coste 1 solo han aparecido en la edición Dice del juego con lo que ya podemos hacernos una idea de la importancia que pueden llegar a tener estas cartas.
En cada elemento vamos a poder encontrar una de estas cartas. Hoy voy a hablaros de la carta del elemento Vida, la que he podido conseguir.

As I mentioned, Frigid Wolf is a legendary card from the Soulbound edition with a cost of 1 mana point. This card is not particularly powerful, as at its maximum level it has 2 melee attack points, 3 speed points, and 3 health points.
However, its strength lies in its new ability, which will be a great help in many combat situations.
Como ya he dicho, Frigid Wolf es una carta legendaria de la edición Soulbound y con un coste de 1 punto de maná. Esta carta no es especialmente poderosa, ya que a su máximo nivel cuenta con 2 puntos de ataque cuerpo a cuerpo, 3 puntos de velocidad y 3 puntos de vitalidad.
Pero su punto fuerte es su nueva habilidad, que será de gran ayuda en muchas situaciones de combate.
CHARGE
The Charge ability allows us to attack from any position to the card in the first position of the opposing team.
Thanks to this ability, we can ignore battle conditions like Fog of War or Super Sneak since our card will always attack the card in the first position.
La habilidad Charge nos permite atacar desde cualquier posición a la carta que se encuentre en primera posición del equipo rival.
Gracias a esta habilidad podemos hacer caso omiso a condiciones de batalla como Fog of War o Super Sneak ya que nuestra carta atacará a la carta ubicada en primera posición.
EXAMPLE COMBATS
Let’s see how Frigid Wolf performs in combat. Especially useful in low mana battle conditions, this card can be decisive if we know how to protect it.
Veamos como se desenvuelve Frigid Wolf en combate. Especialmente útil en condiciones de combate de bajo maná, esta carta puede ser decisiva si sabemos protegerla.

A limited mana battle where my enemy bases their entire strategy on a high mana-cost creature with significant offensive power, Kron the Undying.
From my experience, in this type of battle, using several high-attack power cards increases the chances of success. So, without a doubt, the combination of Pelacor Conjurer along with Aves Sturgis and Helmet Kharafax makes the perfect combo for this type of fight. Additionally, I’ll be able to use my new card Frigid Wolf and see how it performs on its own.
In the first turn, my cards hit the weaker creatures of my opponent, and I easily destroy Fungus Fiend and Cutter Brieze. We can see how Frigid Wolf hits the first creature, ignoring the Equal Opportunity condition, which will often work wonderfully for us. My opponent already has their strategy in place: playing Kron the Undying as the only creature and benefiting from its Last Stand ability.
In the second turn, Kron the Undying delivers a powerful blow to Pelacor Conjurer, but its Magic Reflect ability deals 3 damage back. I also focus all my attacks on Kron the Undying, managing to deal 11 points of damage per turn.
In the third turn, Kron the Undying finally destroys Pelacor Conjurer, but is left with only 1 health point and can do nothing to recover.
Finally, in the fourth turn, the finishing blow is dealt by Frigid Wolf, taking down the mighty Kron the Undying.
Combate con cantidad limitada de maná en el que mi enemigo basa toda su estrategia en una criatura de coste elevado de maná pero con mucho poder ofensivo Kron the Undying.
Mi experiencia me dice que en este tipo de combates, el uso de mucha cartas de poder de ataque elevado aumenta la probabilidades de éxito, así que sin lugar a dudas la combinación de Pelacor Conjurer junto con Aves Sturgis y Helmet Kharafax hacen la combinación perfecta para este tipo de combate. Además podré hacer uso de mi nueva carta Frigid Wolf y ver como actúa en solitario.
En el primer turno mis cartas golpean a las criaturas más débiles de mi rival y destruyo fácilmente a Fungus Fiend y Cutter Brieze. Podemos observar como Frigid Wolf golpea a la primera criatura haciendo caso omiso a la condición Equal Opportunity, en muchas ocasiones esto nos vendrá de maravilla. Mi enemigo ya tiene la estrategia montada, jugar con Kron the Undying como única criatura y beneficiarse de su habilidad Last Stand.
En el segundo turno el golpe potente de Kron the Undying golpea a Pelacor Conjurer pero su habilidad Magic Reflect hace 3 puntos de daño. Además concentro todos los golpes en Kron the Undying con lo que llego a hacer 11 puntos de daño por turno.
En el tercer turno Kron the Undying destruye finalmente a Pelacor Conjurer pero acaba a tan solo 1 punto de vida y ya nada puede hacer para recuperarse.
Por último en el turno cuarto, el golpe de gracia es asestado por Frigid Wolf destruyendo al todopoderoso Kron the Undying.
