Hola. Feliz día para todos. Esta semana ha sido de espanto 👻 desde que comenzó el reto propuesto por la amiga @irenenavarroart me la paso viendo y leyendo todo cuanto pueda sobre la celebración del día de Halloween.
Sigo sorprendida con tantas decoraciones y adornos que hacen para ambientar los locales comerciales más que todo. Incluso las ferias de comidas y puestos ambulantes tienen al menos una calabaza para decorar. Y es precisamente de este ícono que les presentaré mi proyecto de hoy.
Hi. Happy day to all. This week has been scary 👻 since the challenge proposed by friend @irenenavarroart started I keep watching and reading as much as I can about the Halloween celebration.
I continue to be amazed with so many decorations and decorations that they make to set the atmosphere of commercial premises more than anything else. Even food fairs and street stands have at least one pumpkin to decorate. And it is precisely from this icon that I will present my project today.
PROYECTO N° 3: HAGAMOS UNA CALABAZA PARA FESTEJAR HALLOWEEN. 👻PROJECT 3: LET'S MAKE A PUMPKIN TO CELEBRATE HALLOWEEN.
A mí me gusta mucho esta decoración. Las calabazas son muy lindas, mostrando su brillante color anaranjado y su bonita forma. La más común es la calabaza redonda aplanada con ligeras ondulaciones en su estructura. He visto este tipo de calabazas en los supermercados. Aquí en Venezuela las denominamos auyamas. Las he visto como adornos en las bodegas de los pueblos cercanos a mi ciudad. Llaman mucho la atención.
Las calabazas crecen en casi todos los tipos de terreno de mi país. Es muy común conseguirlas en los patios de las casas, en las escuelas y hasta en las orillas de las carreteras. Lo que no es muy común es verlas (naturales) encendidas con velas en su interior. Así como se utilizan para celebrar la víspera del día de los muertos en otros países.
Dicho esto, empecemos con la elaboración de una linda calabaza decorativa.
I really like this decoration. The pumpkins are very pretty, showing off their bright orange color and beautiful shape. The most common is the flattened round pumpkin with slight undulations in its structure. I have seen this type of pumpkin in supermarkets. Here in Venezuela we call them auyamas. I have seen them as decorations in the bodegas of the towns near my city. They attract a lot of attention.
Pumpkins grow in almost every type of soil in my country. It is very common to get them in the backyards of houses, in schools and even on roadsides. What is not very common is to see them (natural) lit with candles inside. Just as they are used to celebrate the eve of the Day of the Dead in other countries.
That said, let's start with the elaboration of a nice decorative pumpkin.
- Fieltro color naranja, negro y verde.
- Hilos y aguja para coser.
- Algodón para rellenar.
- Tijeras.
- Orange, black and green felt.
- Thread and needle for sewing.
- Cotton for stuffing.
- Scissors.
👻 Empezamos dibujando sobre el fieltro color naranja un círculo grande, luego lo recortamos.
👻 Seguidamente basteamos alrededor del círculo.
👻 Start by drawing a large circle on the orange felt, then cut it out.
👻 Then we baste around the circle.
👻 Colocamos el algodón para rellenar y templamos el hilo hasta cerrar el círculo, dejando una pequeña abertura para colocar el tallo y coser.
👻 We place the cotton for stuffing and temper the thread until the circle is closed, leaving a small opening to place the stem and sew.
👻 Con fieltro verde hacemos las hojas y el tallo. Dibujamos las hojas sobre el fieltro y recortamos.
👻 Trazamos unas líneas en las hojas con hilo verde más claro o amarillo.
👻 Cosemos las hojas al tallo.
👻 Cosemos el tallo en el centro de la calabaza y la cerramos con costura.
👻 With green felt we make the leaves and the stem. We draw the leaves on the felt and cut them out.
👻 We draw some lines on the leaves with lighter green or yellow thread.
👻 Sew the leaves to the stem.
👻 Sew the stem in the center of the pumpkin and sew it closed.
👻 Finalmente elegimos qué expresión tendrá nuestra calabaza y recortamos en fieltro negro dos ojos y la boca.

👻 De esta manera inicio entonces con la lista de mis proyectos elaborados para este reto. Cómo verán los he ido realizando de acuerdo al deseo que tenga de elaborarlos por día. Hoy amanecí con ganas de hacer la calabaza. Este sería mi tercer proyecto, así que mi lista va así por el momento.
