Heart to heart - LOH 202

Hello, beautiful people! Welcome to my blog. It's a pleasure to have you in this space. Once again, welcome šŸ¤—

I personally feel that in order to build any meaningful and lasting relationships with someone, having a quality conversation is very important. It's from this quality and meaningful conversation that you start getting to know and understand each other better, which leads to building a strong bond and trust for each other.

In my opinion, different things constitute a quality relationship, like

Listening attentively: a lot of people don't really pay close attention when having conversations with people. Paying attention to what someone is actually saying to you means you have to be fully engaged with the speaker; maintaining eye contact with the speaker is very necessary; and also asking questions where you don't understand to get clarity is as important.

One also needs to be open-minded and have it in mind that people's opinions might differ from yours; we see, perceive, and understand things differently. Don't force your view points on people, and as much as possible, avoid judging other people's opinions. If possible, show people that you genuinely understand their own perspectives.

You need to be honest and transparent in your conversation.

There was a time I had a misunderstanding with my friend. We were both accusing and blaming each other for what had happened. After some time, we decided to have an open and honest conversation about what had happened; we both paid more attention to what the other person was saying. That was how we were able to resolve our little misunderstanding, and this taught me a valueable lesson on the importance of quality communication in building a strong and meaningful relationship.

We should always remember that having a quality conversation for a better relationship is a two-way thing; the other person must also be willing to communicate, and this requires a lot of time and effort.

All thanks to @amberkashif for this week's contest šŸ‘
